No, absolutly not, well at least I think. I think Dan wanted to approach an issue with an out of this world video that was both satirical and confusing. ???The blase approach to his videos got old kinda fast and I think he wants to revive the tribe. That or he is crazy. Could be either. Here is the equation Dan Brown used to inspire discussion.
confusion + satire + suddeness = questions = answers = wow look at that you have a discussion
Chat and Discuss ;D

Its like trying to explain to an ant how a computer works. If Dan is just doing this to be funny, I think it was done in poor tastes and may loose some of his viewer fan base.

I don't think Dan is crazy, though his video did not really make much sense. But, of course, it was very interesting to watch and I'm sure, like franticprodigy said, that there is some kind of deeper meaning to his words that some spaghetti... monster... guy? Anyway, I found the video very amusing ^^

As much as I repect Dan Brown, I do think he's just a bit crazy (just so you know, I'm trying to say this in the most civilized way possible, but at the same time get my point across). I'm not going to question his new beliefs (for the record, though, I really think he's being serious, although there is a large margin for error when it comes to my thinking), but I am concerned. I'm not entirely sure why, but I am. There might be something to come along in the future that will explain this whole thing, but until then, we can really only sit tight and try to support him as much as possible (and I say as much as possible because there's a variety of beliefs among the Pogotribe and some of the actions he might take in the future could very well contradict the views of a certain religion).
NOTE: Sorry if anything is worded weird or misspelled. I'm really tired.

Tiffany, I agree on some of your comments, however I don't think he is being 100% serious. Plus, I'm pretty sure he already knows how most of us found his video strange and hard to comprehend, and hopefully at the end of the week we'll get some answers after some discussions on this "tea time" thing and how all of the pogo tribe as a whole deal with it.

Pastafarianism is already something that exists, Dan didn't just make it up. He was using it as an example. Like usual, he's acting to prove a point. He's smart, not crazy, and I'm sure he even understands people will think he's crazy.

I think it has to do with Dans secret project. A bunch of tea timing, Spaghetti Monstering, and Sarah Palin Worshiping people is sure to get attention.

I'm quite sure that he's joking on a very large handful of points. Also, in the long run, I think he's been scheming too. Recently, he's been throwing Pogotribe stuff out, like the guides and expectations for Pogo-Members. On a surface level, he's been giving EXAMPLES of what some of those mean: "#7 Standing by what you believe to be True" - Spaghetti Monster = reference to Religious differences, anyone? Oh, and "#2 Embrace your Inner weird." He's fueling discussion in a way he's not done before, I believe, and testing out how people start discussion for themselves (Normally, he starts it by giving aid and asking for responses. HERE, however, he's fueling discussion in an entirely new way.)
*Shrugs* After the Semi-Hilarious British Stereotype thing, which is a story I need to explain, I can't seem to put my Finger on it. I say wait for Friday - which knowing Dan, he'll just continue on the acting. Anyone else noticed he hasn't been doing his DailyVlogs to give an inside scoop?

Dans video makes perfect sense. Look, how many people are upset and claiming to unsubscribe from his video, because of his supposed satirical new found religious views. This is the same way many of us act when we see right winged conservatism. Like the Tea Party. We turn away and call them crazy. Dan made this video to show everyone how THEY ACT TOWARDS HIM. How they persecute him. And say you're crazy, I am unsubscribing. Yet, if they were to post a christian video, or a muslim video, would it be right for their subscribers to get upset and unsubscribe. Religious and Political discrimination is real. Oh and the flying spaghetti monster is also real!Help Dan make his point! He doesn't have to be alone while being discriminated against. He has asked us who agree with his point to make a video. I have started a project about it. Click here to seeHelp Dan make a point, that people are allowed the right to free speech, without being discriminated against, as long as you don't hurt anyone. Yeah, people will think your crazy, THATS THE POINT. Show them the error of their hypocrisy. Thanks for listening to this post. Dan is not joking. He is teaching a very important pastafarian lesson! A lesson that started with a letter to the Kansas school board when the church of the flying spaghetti monster demanded equal time in classrooms. The message of freedom of speech, which deals directly with the tea party movement, and Sarah Palin, our lord and savior.

Yeah i agree with that. I think he's just testing us to see if we'll still accept him for who he is. I say the people that are unsubscribing are missing the point.

well, whatever his point is, there is some reason. Plus the FSM is an actual real religion? I really never knew that, but it's very good to know. There is allot more meaning to it than meets the eye, whether or not we understand it.
I'm very interested in this ^^

Could we say that Dan is an intelligent lunatic? Yes. Aren't we all? That was not at all meant to be an insult, rather, a compliment

Yeah, okay, I changed my opinion on the whole "Dan being serious" thing. I thought about it some more today and realized some things I overlooked last night that were pointed out by a few of you awesome people here. But Dan is still kind of crazy...in the genius way. Not the whole "you're out of your mind and I'm not going to listen to a word you say" kind of crazy.

To answer questions as to whether Pastafarianism (or the FSM) is a real religion, here's basically the history of how it happened in ultra short form. 1) Kansas school board was asked to add creationism to the science curriculum, because it's totally scientific. Totally. 2) Their reasoning was that intelligent design can't be disproved, therefore must be a valid theory. 3) Bobby Henderson found out about this and realized it was incredibly stupid because ID is not a science. 4) He drafted this letter to argue that if ID could be taught, then so should his theory that the Flying Spaghetti Monster was responsible for gravity by holding everything and everyone down with His noodly appendages. He also argued that you couldn't disprove that a global decrease in pirates (of the seafaring sort) was responsible for global warming. After all these theories were equally plausible when compared to ID. 5) The Kansas school board read the letter, realized he had a point, and did not add ID to the science curriculum. Happy end! Edit: Bonus 6th point) Then the Internet found out and it became a phenomenon, and a lot of people started declaring themselves Pastafarians and such. Pastafarians are actually quite a mixed group, including not just atheists and agnostics, but also deists and a smattering of Christians (and probably other religions too). Most (as well as anyone can tell anyway) are either atheists or agnostics though.
