Some of you may have already heard about this crazy awesome thing called Metamaterials, which can make things invisible. However, metamaterials only worked to make objects invisible at longer wavelenghts than the visible spectrum of light (so they couldn't be used to make thing invisible to the human eye), and they could only work on rigid forms. But, wait! Now they've managed to make Metaflex, which is the flexible version of metamaterials (yay!), they would also allow them to work on the visible light spectrum (double yay!). Since Metaflex is flexible, it could be used to manufacture Metaflex fabric (triple yay!), which could be used to produce Metaflex clothing (quadruple yay! Super Combo) . Researchers had attained working metaflex only at small proportions (Max of 4μm wide metaflex, that can cover an area of up to 5x8mm 2). So no invisibility cloaks yet (C-C-C-C-Combo Breaker!) More and better information here: news.stv.tv/internet-technology/206620-scientists-reveal-material-for-invisibility-cloak/physicsworld.com/cws/article/news/44257iopscience.iop.org/1367-2630/12/11/113006/fulltext#nj367114s2.3Maybe, I could make an army of invisible ants. So, yeah, I thought this was pretty cool and wanted to share it .

This proves you don't really need to watch science fiction movies anymore, you go to a lab instead. Crazy stuff is happening!
