EDIT: Final thread can be found here.=========================================================================== I think as many PogoTribians as possible should join the Project For Awesome. I also think that we should all work together to get behind one charity. Or maybe just compile all of our charities into one video and post it on thepogotribe channel AS A TRIBE. I think this is something that would actually have an impact. This idea isn't full fleshed out, so I posted it here. Make it better. Thanks.

I agree, we should work together Or at least make a list of which member covers which projects etc. and help each other out!

Suggestions for charities? Are we gonna go for known/famous ones or rather unknown ones?

The charity I vote/nominate is Child's Play.It is certainly an awesome thing. It's also being unique - rather then giving the hospital money to get better equipment (since there are countless charities that already do that) they buy toys, games, and movies to entertain patients in Children's Hospitals. It won't decrease the suck of sick kids, but it'll certainly make said sick kids happier.

What about Heifer? That place Chris wanted us to donate to. We'd need to raise a lot of money, but we'd be feeding an entire village in some lesser developed country.

How about a Tribe chosen charity video, and then at the end link to everyone's own personal videos too? That way you can still chose your own.

I would say Heifer or the U.N. Food Program.

So it seems just one charity would be good then. I also enjoy the idea of linking to individual videos.
So I guess we'd have to quickly open the door for nominations and have a vote? Then we'd have to move quickly with planning the video so everyone can give clips before the 17th so I can put it together.
A really important thing is the ability to film (or something) the charity in action or at work. So I guess we have to keep that in mind?
I want more thoughts.

Oh right, the videos part... Well, there goes my ability to help - what with both my inability to talk for long, and lack of camera. I still say that Child's Play should be what we go for - it's closer to home. If we want to be more international... well, how about Ryan's Well?

I like both Child's Play and Ryan's Well... do we have to choose one?

The consensus seemed to be that choosing one is best.
Also, there are others way to help if you can't film. You could help with a script, help with research, etc.

Tell me what to do - and I'll do what I can.
So far it seems that Child's Play is the majority decision
