Headquarters | Wiki | Ideas List | Task Voting #1 | Promote Us!
The philosophy coalition is proud to introduce its first task:
Learn philosophy
Philosophy is the science of finding truth through argumentation. Take a philosophy course, read a book about it and/or join a community. Tell your viewers what you've learned and apply it on SPoTM's Debate Club. Lets bring back the fun in thinking. Lets bring back Socrates and Plato! Lets bring back Aristotle! Lets revive a whole world of rational wonder where knowing things makes them even more beautiful! LETS GET SMARTER!
We request anybody interested in this to vote it up! It will help Dan, it will help you too! And it will be fun! Vote it up and we will get a step closer of ending world suck!
(below is the original text)
As part of the planning week, the philosophy coalition needs to refine the ideas proposed and submit them to the task engine as fast and as efficiently as possible.
So, today, August 18th (Wednesday) will happen a live meeting, on the #SPoTMFil room in the irc.rizon.net server. In this meeting, I propose we do the final refinements to the tasks proposed and that at the end we propose that task into the task engine and promote it the most efficiently possible to make it famous very soon.
For that, we will have an extra long meeting. I'll be online from 5pm to 12am WE(S)T (GMT+1 on daylight savings time). The recommended hour for you to be online is from 8 to 9pm WEST, when I predict will be the biggest influx.
Before and during the meeting, all our focus should be in the brainstorming section, in here. This is where ideas to be proposed to the task engine are at. The most important one now is the one about learning philosophy. It is important to make it appealing to the biggest amount of people possible, so feel free to change it the way you think it is best before and while the meeting is happening.
Probably around 10/11pm (but with no definitive date) we will submit it to the task engine and vote it up all together, and also promote it the best way we can.
So, feel free to join #SPoTMFil at irc.rizon.net at anytime today to discuss the details and keep up to date with this thread. You have instruction on how to access IRC in here and, if you don't really know how to use it, a direct link to a chat service there in here. I'll be waiting for you!
Conversion for different time zones:
(The first offset is in winter time, the second daylight savings time.)
