I think I have a pretty cool idea...
I want to make a few online math videos from the point of view of a student, for students.
What do you guys think? I wont post many details because I would like to flesh these out with you guys.
Maybe this will help vamp things up around here.

That's not a bad idea - I think the tricky part is going to be adding entertainment value. (for those of us who don't actually like Math, but need the guidance.)

I can do integrals with damage as a function of time (DPS)... Pfft, that would be pretty easy. Math teachers are good at making useful concepts seem useless.

I would like to know which topics interest you guys. I can do algebra, trig, geometry, pre-calc, calc 1 and 2 for now. I know a bit of statistics as well. I can also do a bit of physics.

You could do a bit of everything. Like, you do one tutorial for algebra, and then you skip to trig, and string pre-calc, calc 1 and calc 2 in a series.
I'd watch that. :]

You should make a whole crap-load of videos for a HUGE audience.
I could help out some-how... maybe writing scripts and stuff...

K... Let's see.
Say the first video is for Algebra. What should I cover? A specific subsection would be more useful.
Also, I was thinking that a general outline of math would help shed light on how certain math concepts are used. Maybe this could be a good introductory video. A view on math, from arithmetics to calculus.

I am not a big Math buff, and I am not really math mathematically savvy...
But yeah, a "How It's Used" video would be good for a series introduction.

This is a good idea. Nowadays, students are very likely to avoid STEM, especially math. Students should take math from school level so that they don't have to face any problem in future. Schools also should take the matter seriously. Unfortunately most of the public schools do not do so. Students can also try online math tutoring services like tutorteddy.com for free math help / solutions (video / text) if schools cannot offer.

K... let me post a rough estimate of when I will be able to do this. I'm probably going to be free after the first week of summer, so that should be May 12-ish. Until then, it would be awesome if you guys could help me compile algebra and geometry problems/topics that gave/give you trouble. I will take care of the Calculus stuff mostly by myself.

K... I'm starting a list.
I'll organize it later.
Fractions (How and when to use the rules specifically) Circles and Ellipses Quadratic Equations (How to solve them and what they are) Polynomials ( Contracting, Expanding, Tricks)

Feel free to post topic that you would like me to cover. I'll be collecting them.

Fractions it's a great topic to cover. For some reason people in my class always seem to have some problems when working with them (even in really basic stuff). More topics?... Emh... Absolute values. What about binomials? (or polynomials)

Those are good... expanding and contracting them. Completing squares, quadratic formula, etc

You know what was a bitch to learn? Quadratic equations. I mean, I understand them, and their awesome, but there's like 5 different ways to solve them. You could do a mini series on that.

How's the progress going Draemora?
I'm also eager to teach people on YouTube, but lack the skills to make videos efficiently, so I've been slacking lately. However, I've put together two episodes so far of a series I'm calling "Damn Cool Science" (below). Anyone know where I can find a good tutorial on video editing, preferably with legit software that won't cost a month's rent?
