I don't know how you create a mobile site or whatever but assuming it's possible for us I like the idea.

i have a droid.. is there a decent non buggy app in the android market... i have other devices that would still greatly benefit from a mobile site so i still support this idea. i just have no knowledge in the area of web page creation besides a beginners HTML knowledge.. so i don't even know how hard this project would be..

I'm probably good enough for the basics, but it would be almost impossible to have a mobile version of the forum without us having access to the forum database itself, and for that to happen, we'd have to move off to another forum (phpBB, vBulletin etc.)
And yes, I'd be willing to do it/work on it if we would move the forums to something else - which there is already a discussion about, though I don't believe it will happen anytime soon.

Their is a App for proboards. a) It is not available everywhere (for instance, it's not available in Norway, where I live). b) You can't post on the forums etc. without paying for it. c) It's iOS only. d) There's also a Pogotribe app. e) There are no problems with using the forums in Safari on an iPhone f) The whole idea was a mobile site for people who are not using an iPhone/iPod touch/iPad.

uhh the pogo tribe started on a different board to begin with. heck i didn't like it much but i remember the old pogo forum. i doubt we will be moveing to a different board any time soon. i would love for the pogotribe to have a mobile page but i doubt it will happen any quicker.
great idea though. i would love to see it happen.

well if someone with the noledge suddenly becomees admin it might happen quicker... Not at all. If someone developed a good quality site then after bug tests and other checks we would be happy to use it.

It will require our approval and our input at some point. I merely meant that our admin team is very approachable, very easy to contact and would be glad to work with someone or a group of people to get something like this up and running, meaning that there is no need to think that the right person would have to become an admin for this to be done.

I'd like to quickly inform I'm attempting to make a mobile stylesheet for this site, which would make it so that we would not need to redirect users to another site to see it on their phones. But, due to the lack of semantic classes and IDs (mostly on the tables of the site), it might be hard to do some of the things I would like without incredibly long, cryptic and unmaintainable selectors, thus making the point of a stylesheet obsolete from the beginning.
Nonetheless, I'll try anyway, slowly, but I give no guaranties. So if you have a better idea, or think you can do it better, go for it and ignore my post.
