As in, subforums get just as much traffic as the main forums. On phpBB, you could choose to display the subforums right under the description. With ProBoards, you have to click through the main one to see the subforums. Also, just having a "New Posts" button helps subforums get traffic... on ProBoards, you pretty much have to go to each individual forum/subforum to see new posts. It's lame. I hate it. :/

I like Invision Power Boards the most. Why hasn't this been suggested yet?

Also, just having a "New Posts" button helps subforums get traffic... on ProBoards, you pretty much have to go to each individual forum/subforum to see new posts. It's lame. I hate it. :/ It's actually very easy to add a listing of sub-boards to the main page. All you have to do is edit the description and add UBBC tags linking to the sub-boards. Could be done in just a couple minutes time. A few comments on some things in the "Pros" section of the OP: 1) Merge threads --We are planning within the next 2-3 weeks to add both splitting and merging of threads, in addition to the ability to move a single post. 2) Moderation logs --Our built in mod system shows what actions are taken in regards to reported posts automatically. If you are referring to our security log which is only displayed to the main admin account, it is possible for us to look into adding this as an optional power for other member groups. 3) Edit Polls The reason we don't let you edit polls is because that it could so easily be abused to skew numbers. People vote for one thing, come back a minute later and a mod has switched the answers. 4) "New Posts" button This is already in the works, and should be available in about 3 weeks. We already have a lot of this coded up as it is available in our iPhone app already. 5) Search I believe Martyn (our sysadmin) has already upgraded the Pogotribe forum to use our faster search system after speaking with Dan 6) Display sub-boards on the main page See my above explanation on how to do this quite easily. These are just some of my comments, a lot of what you want to do you can with ProBoards, and some things we already have coming very soon. You can always check our code database on our support forum (http://support.proboards.com) for other interesting features you can add to your forum. Patrick Clinger ProBoards

I agree that vBulletin and BBphp is awesome, but we're already used to this place plus it's free. So why the hell move somewhere expensive, when you have this awesomesauce

I havn't really read most of the replies to this so sorry if what i say has already been said:
I'm not picky about whether we move, but if we are going to we should do it asap before we get any more comfortable.

Nice, Patrick got the e-mail. ;D It's actually very easy to add a listing of sub-boards to the main page. All you have to do is edit the description and add UBBC tags linking to the sub-boards. Could be done in just a couple minutes time. Really!? Wish I would have known that ages ago. XD Thanks for the tip. @admins: We need to do ettttt. A few comments on some things in the "Pros" section of the OP: 1) Merge threads --We are planning within the next 2-3 weeks to add both splitting and merging of threads, in addition to the ability to move a single post. oh my gosh excitement. This is one of my main gripes, so I'm really really glad you guys are implementing it, especially so soon! 2) Moderation logs --Our built in mod system shows what actions are taken in regards to reported posts automatically. If you are referring to our security log which is only displayed to the main admin account, it is possible for us to look into adding this as an optional power for other member groups. Yeah, I meant the "Security Log" on the admin account. That one isn't a huge deal, I just think it's a nice/helpful feature, and it wouldn't hurt for all staff to have it accessible (I don't think). 3) Edit Polls The reason we don't let you edit polls is because that it could so easily be abused to skew numbers. People vote for one thing, come back a minute later and a mod has switched the answers. Well boo. I usually just want to edit polls because I make a typo or forgot to add an option. I can see how it could be used for malicious reasons, but we're not really malicious people. 4) "New Posts" button This is already in the works, and should be available in about 3 weeks. We already have a lot of this coded up as it is available in our iPhone app already. \o/ *confetti* 5) Search I believe Martyn (our sysadmin) has already upgraded the Pogotribe forum to use our faster search system after speaking with Dan Yes! Dan told us Martyn was upgrading us to that. Thank you thank you. Personally, if the features you've mentioned will be implemented soon, I am heading over to the "STAY" party. Awesome.
