Dan + Shawn = Epic.
I strongly support this coalition -- not only to get Shawn the exposure he needs (because he really doesn't have enough and it's a shame), but so the combination can open the eyes of so many YouTubers.

Personally, I wouldn't make him do another Uncultured project. If that's what we really want, we should make him go somewhere else, not to Bangladesh. I think it would be more interesting to try to make him work as a volunteer worker for some non-profit organization (or similar), and have him vlog about how it's like. It will be an eye-opener and hands-on experience for both him and us. I don't like the idea of traveling to Bangladesh. There are a lot of good things Dan can do from home. Do you know how much carbon emissions and time it takes to fly to Bangladesh from the US? It's not economical, not for Dan and not for the environment. But I do like rimacrob's idea: I'd like to join. Perhaps Dan goes and volunteers his time in the gulf to help clean up the spill. There's still a lot of work to be done as far as cleanup. Much closer to home and a very DWS plan! |

Er... I know that Dan says he gets lots of money through his Youtube Partnership, but how much is lots? Is it enough to go to other countries? He makes over 100k a year... |

What about if he went and helped out in pakistan? Not yet because there may be more flooding. But in the future. When the big clean up happens. Maybe a group of people could go with him. And instead of getting a plane, he could get a boat then trains. It is much less of an economic foot print. Alas, it is still a footprint on this earth. Maybe even if he made people happier in his area. Like the free hugs. Maybe just handing out compliments? That would be the small goal  |

What about having Dan volunteer at Big Brothers Big Sisters for a month? That wouldn't require any start up money, and it would definitely decrease world suck. I think this is the best suggestion in the thread so far. |
