We realize that some of the members that signed up for triads may leave or have already left the moon, but we didn't want to only allow older members to volunteer because 1.) we wouldn't have enough volunteers, and 2.) there are new members who will prove to be helpful members of the community, and we didn't want to exclude them just because they are new. So, we are sorry if you ended up in a triad with a nonactive member, but this was the most fair way of choosing people. Well, you can weigh the fairness of not picking brand spanking new members against the fairness of others getting picked but not being able to partake no matter how enthusiastic they are. And you'd get a great big debate and nothing'd get solved. It's just disappointing. It's more disappointing than if you can't get picked for a project at all cause at least then you're not lead on at all. Maybe people should have to have at least like, 5 or 10 posts or something doable like that in future. A number people can reach easily before signups close. That way people would get a little more comfortable before they commit to the Triad process and be less likely to run off. EDIT: Just realised I sound like I'm giving up already. I'm not, it's only been like a day, I'm just saying this hypothetically, if a member was to not turn up.

I totally agree with this, brand new members are bound to volunteer for triads simply for the sake of volunteering, and never return after that. With Dan's hand-picked original triads, that was a lot less likely because it was in a Pogotok, therefore to see it you probably would have been already relatively committed. There should be a post requirement of 10 or 15 or something, so that you know the person has committed themselves enough to come back. And it probably was very disappointing to get into a triad and have nonactive members it. I volunteered (very first volunteer in fact, lol) and did not get in, and I am rather disappointed, but I can already tell that it would be even more disappointing to get all excited about being in a triad... and then find out you can't go any farther with it.

I don't see the big deal in pairing up the people left out of being in a triad and the active people from triads that failed due to inactive members. I'm sure there will be plenty of people to make sure we have 21 triads altogether.

Aww Oh well. Can't be lucky every time. ^^ And I see a lot of good people in there who really deserve to be in triads. Grats, people.

I'm not saying they should be freelance, just take the people who did not get chosen and the people who had to drop their triads due to inactivity, and randomly make new ones.

There seems to be quite a lot of inactive triad members, you're going to end up with much less than 21 triads, before the whole process even begins.
