Definitely not religious here. I label myself as someone who believes in a higher power, and thinks the bible stories are symbolic, but didn't actually happen that way. Abraham didn't live into his 100s. That's redonkulous. Maybe back then they measured in goat years? Lol.

EDIT: I said belief in a higher power, and I'd just like to clarify, I didn't really know the word for what I meant, but now I do. I think I'm a deist. Frankly though, I don't think anything created the universe. More like nothing did.. I think the supreme being we speak of is just another being in a world like this. And they have a supreme being. The chain never ends. I know, it's weird..

Vocal, straight-up and proud atheist. And don't debate with religious people, it's useless. It's not useless, it's just that you'll never notice an immediate impact. Or at least, very rarely. Any changes in opinion about topics like this tend to be very gradual. And just by having debates out in the open like this, you may influence the opinions of people who weren't even in the debate. So it's rarely truly pointless. Even in the case of the ultra-crazy religious fundamentalists, responding in some way that shows them to be what they really are will at least help prevent others from falling for their antics. Actually, my beliefs about creationism have changed slightly since I got here in february. I am still 100% Christian though

Agnostic, even though I'm being raised by Christians. Doesn't make much sense, eh?

It makes perfect sense actually. They're your believes not your parents so it shouldn't actually matter what your parents are, at least after an age where you stop believing everything your parents tell you and learn to think for yourself.
I think when both parents believe the same thing it's a little more rare for the kids to have their own believes than if the parents don't agree.

Personally I was Christian until the age where I started thinking for myself. Now, rather then blindly fallowing my relatives and supporting the Republican party I've become an advocate for free thought and and independent speech. In other words, I'm an atheist.

That's politics not religion, I think you're in the wrong topic. lol Seriously though I never understood the difference between the political parties, they all seem to be saying the same bull crap if you ask me. Is there a "no more bull" party? If not we need to start one.

Republican and Democrat seem to be the only real parties, the rest seem to just be there for show. But at least the other parties, weather for show or not, actually stand for something.
