I think there is more to it than that 0.0 Yeah there is more than that too it, but the way our judicial branch is set up as it is, they would have to go to court anyway to sit on death row. Why not skip death row and save money?

Why not skip death row and save money? Because that's not how it works? You clearly have very little knowledge of the subject. Please don't make any judgments before being informed -- that's how stupid things happen.

From Wikipedia: Due to the complex, expensive and time-consuming appeals procedure that must be followed in some jurisdictions, e.g. the United States, before an execution can be carried out, prisoners may wait years before execution; nearly a quarter of deaths on death row in the U.S. are in fact due to natural causes.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_rowThat's how the law is. That's how it works.

That's how it works. It only takes one bill to change that thou. If the majority of states started using it again. I hope they would change it to once you where sentenced to death, then boom goes the dynamite. That's the end, no going back, I say that because they would spend a little bit more time on the death sentence cases that by the end of the case they would know if that person was guilty or innocent.

Except for the fact that it's unconstitutional, and the law would be struck down. Maybe barbaric antics like that have a tiny bit of merit in Uganda or Somalia, but not here.

Maybe barbaric antics like that have a tiny bit of merit in Uganda or Somalia, but not here.

Let me borrow a moment of everyone's time for a relevant hypothetical story:
A man who owns a ranch in Texas has a guest over for dinner. The ranch owner says "You know, we use to have a law that made stealing a horse punishable by death." The visitor, astonished, asks "So people were killed over horse theft?!" The ranch owner replied "Nope, nobody ever stole a single horse."
The point that I am attempting to illustrate here is that we should not be searching for a way to punish criminals but instead a method to deter criminal acts before they are committed.

1. manslaughter
2.accidental death (if the hunter was licensed)
3.nothing (but I smell a lawsuit)
NO DEATH PENALTY!

Nope. Not at all. Even if you killed a whole country. Two wrongs don't make a right. Well, if he killed a whole country, what's gonna stop him from doing it again?

HE KILLED A WHOLE FRICKING COUNTRY!?!?!?! You think a few pudgy guards and a chain-link fence are gonna stop a heavily armed psycopath?

Nope. Not at all. Even if you killed a whole country. Two wrongs don't make a right. That saying doesn't really apply here. Locking someone away for the rest of their lives in solitary sounds almost as wrong as death.

^Prison with good security? If somebody thinks "I really want to kill him!" a threat of death would be much more effective than threat of jail time.
