My parents always keep the lights up and on until at least New Years. We consider it the Christmas Season until then. But in our society, it seems that as soon as a holiday is over (i.e. the next day) everything's packed up - despite having started celebrations months in advance.

We keep the lights until at least after the 7th. That's the day we celebrate the "Día de Reyes" (christian epiphany).

Hey! My parents do that too! (I usually have left by then, so none for me, which is fine, since I follow Eastern spiritual beliefs like Buddhism, Taoism, and Shinto anyways)

I just get... well... nothing... =/ Hehe, but we do... well... nothing either... just take down the christmas stuff =/ And some people go to church and celebrate religious stuff, but I don't! yay! =P Oh, but my grandma gives me (and my brother and my cousins) money! =D
