This is terribly primitive though. It might be tough to notice, but it's a blimp. Towers of such a height would be slightly unpractical and costly. Also, forgot to add orbital tether, or space elevator, to the energy transfer possibilities of an orbital solar array. Looks like a bitch to maintain

Hmm.. ryan can we tell Dan about this? I'm sure some experts are in his audience.

Cause we have ways to contact Dan (well, we actually do [phone numbers, private emails, friends, etc] but he won't reply)

I hope Dan 4.0 is better than... The third one.. Eww.
(He's a timelord, so he regenerated into a nicer person)

Not really, even with engineers this is very difficult.

hmm.. I wonder if we should post this in projects: Let's work on newer blueprints for tidal and of course the blimp wind.. Thing.. Wow, dude. You really underestimate the complexity of this technology, the amount of design that goes into it and the amount of training and study that goes into that.

Another alternative energy that would be pretty good compared to gasoline can be frozen methane gas on the Abyssal Plane. Harvesting could be a problem being that it's several miles below sea level but it burns way longer than methane gas on the surface.

I wasn't being serious We should get some engineers here..

Yeah, I think we should just stick to the thinking aspect of this. We can still figure out some theoretical solutions, but it would be a logistical nightmare to use an internet community to design and implicate a working energy source.
