Italian. Though British - with a little hint of Geordie - is the absolute most sexy language ever. x3 I disagree with your Italien thingie. I think it's brute. Not compared to many others, but it's more brute than sexy. To your british thingie i have this to say: I speak somewhat like that! Seriously, how did this happen? I have never associated geordie with sexy...

Right now I'm taking Italian language classes at my university (just for fun, they're not part of my major) and I've been casually learning Swedish on my own. I really like both of them.
I think Italian sounds really beautiful. Someone mentioned it as being more brute than sexy. Different strokes for different blokes, I guess. Talking brute languages... I think Dutch is one of the worst in the world (one of, not THE worst), just going by its sound. I'm not a big fan of it, but maybe that's just because I hear it every day and I'm getting quite sick of it.
I also like most other Romance languages.

Ah, damn. I voted French, then noticed Australian afterwords (though I'm pretty sure that's an accent and not a language).
I'd do anything that has an Aussie accent. o.o

The majority of the options aren't languages. I bet he meant accents. What? Latino is the only one that isn't a language, and it could mean Latin.

Wow, I never really thought about thinking in other languages... Interesting. You're not supposed to. Your language is English, so you don't need to learn any other language. However, if you're Norwegian, Dutch, Portuguese or from any other non English speaking country, you'd better get used to English. Yeah, I think in English a lot. Yeah, I've been thinking in English for the past few years and I barely speak norwegian anymore, except with my parents and people I've just met.

Do you guys ever feel like you're being forced to conform to the needs of America/U.K by having to learn English? Or is it like the cool thing in Europe to speak English?lol

I don't feel forced, neither is it the cool thing, it just happened, and due to online communities and gaming as well as American TV shows, we all learned to speak English a lot quicker than Americans learned to speak our languages. Seems kinda logical to me, though to loads of people it seems like Americans are kind of ignorant for not learning other languages, though that's just another stereotype.

I don't know how anyone can find a Language sexy, especially if they can't speak it. and I don't know how you can find Irish, Scottish, Australian sexy since they all speak english. But if you meant accent: German, French, Italian. Do you guys ever feel like you're being forced to conform to the needs of America/U.K by having to learn English? Or is it like the cool thing in Europe to speak English?lol People who can't speak english are limited to working in their own country and anyway it is fun speaking in your own language around people who can't.. they get annoyed

Americans are ignorant of other languages but it's not primarily our fault. Europe is smaller than the United States so there are more countries amongst each other. Because of this more people mingle among other languages and a multi-lingual culture was born. The United States is surrounded by two oceans and two countries, that's it. Canada speaks English as well (although there are a lot of French-speakers there) and most Americans don't want to bother learning Spanish. I tried learning Spanish by taking two classes in high school but I nearly failed them both.

Do you guys ever feel like you're being forced to conform to the needs of America/U.K by having to learn English? Or is it like the cool thing in Europe to speak English?lol English is probably the easiest natural language. There are a silly number of tenses but you can survive with just three. There are no declensions/cases It is relatively easy to pronounce. The tough sounds being L/R V/W and others, depending on your first language. Okay there's a lot of irregular verbs but people will understand you if you say "goed" instead of "went". Okay there are 3 future tenses 2 present tenses and 3 past tenses (then of course there are the passives so you can multiply that by 2) , but you don't need them all. Okay there are a lot of phrasal verbs but you can learn the Latin equivalents instead and people will understand you fine, ok prepositions are no picnic but they're no harder in English than in any language. Okay the spelling is ridiculously complicated and it's impossible to know how to pronounce a word just by looking at it, but that's what the phonetic alphabet is for. Okay it's not fair that it's the Lingua Franca if a handful of countries already have it as a first language and their inhabitants can be lazy. Okay it has 800,000 words not including scientific ones. But you only need 3,000 in a normal day. Don't assume for a second that people learn English to talk to Americans / British / Australians etc. 1 in 4 people in the world speak some English. Soon it will be spoken by more non-native speakers than natives. If you go on holidays anywhere you need to either speak their native language or English. Business people from all over the world use it to communicate with each other even though there are no native speakers present. It's a world language now, alright it bugs me that it gets to be a world language because English Monarchs of the past insisted on running around killing everyone and destroying their cultures... But like I said it's one of the easiest languages to learn. But anyway I'm a little bias because if it wasn't a world language I'd be sitting at home unemployed and depressed. I'd have lots more time for SPOTM though!

This is a good example of the tribe working wonders :]
We get a few exchange students each year, but it's hard to talk to them unless they're in your class, especially because EVERYONE wants to talk them too.
But here I can connect with people from all over the world and in the words of Dan "IT . . . IS . . . AWESOME!!!!"

I think Italian, French are easier than english. But the fact that there are so many tenses makes it such a great language to know, and that is why English literature is so vast.
