I would just like to say sorry on behalf of all my fellow Englishmen who somehow saw through Dan's "I'm Not British" video and took it seriously. Although there were also a lot of English people who got it - it's kind of embarrassing to see people who claim that "America doesn't get sarcasm" and then not get his! Besides, a key part of being British is being able to laugh at yourself - quite clearly some people missed that. ANYWAY, I wanna hear more stereotypes of British people. So go Americans, go!  |

British people are so stuck up and think they're better than everyone else. It's incredibly annoying. They always drink tea and have fish and chips. In fact, that's all they ever eat. There is no food besides fish and chips in Britain. I know, right? So ridiculous. They have no dentists, hence the fact that every British person has bad teeth 100% of the time. They use their accents to their advantage to seduce Americans too, the fiends.
^ I don't really believe that; those are just some stereotypes I hear all the time from people who joke about Britain. There are more...some very odd...but this gets the point across. I know these aren't true. The few British people I have ever talked to have been completely nice, have had pretty good teeth, and ate more than fish and chips, if I remember correctly. =P

Well Im always up for laughing at myself. But honestly I just didnt find Dan's video funny. If he had turned up on screen wearing a tuxedo and a monacle, pouring tea and eating crumpets, THAT would have been funny. But come on, riding horses on the "wrong" side of the road... Thats pretty lame.
Anywho, British stereotypes from me.

British people hate foreign people
British people enjoy moaning
And some regional ones just to mix it up
Scottish people are violent drunks
Irish people are friendly drunks

If you see any episodic of house or a little Fry and Laurie on youtube all it is is British people saying how much they hate Americans and ranting all the negative American stereotypes. It's brought out the absolute worst in me a few times and I've gone trolling to defend Americans.. by insulting the British. .. sorry! One American woman reading the comments said that she actually started crying because she was living in England and it was the type of joking mocking cutting abuse she heard every day and she felt so alone. It sent me into a blind rage.  Guys believe me you do not want us to list stereotypes. only bad can follow. |

I'm amazed Dan actually brushed his teath with the marmite I sent him.
Back on topic though, when I was in canada and america i felt like I could do anything and people were supportive of ideas even if they were crazy, when I lived in my canadian dorms we could get a good half of the building to come out and work on film shoots and they'd do it un paid and because it was fun.
In the UK getting people to do stuff is a lot harder and people tend to put down ideas before trying it.
