I think our noble cause should be to reach universal happiness. If everyone in the world was happy then what else would we need? I love that idea, but maybe something more like, "Universal Equality", where everyone is treated the same way. Something like that. But Universal Happiness would relate to that as well so we're at a moot point I guess.

The wiki page on this topic is blank. To start it off, can we just write in what we think the noble cause should be without saying "I think" or anything like that, and in time it will be refined? Because I feel bad doing that, as if I am stating what the noble cause is, even though we haven't agreed upon it yet.

There's a bit of stuff on the wiki page's discussion page, more than the front page at least. So as CrrackTheSkye said on the wiki: I think if we want to end world suck, we first have to define world suck.

I wanna go all the way back to Camoon Lee's post on page 2 with this video
I loved this video and where he says to first "look in your backyard". The PogoTribe's backyard is the internet. What is the most influential thing the tribe could do with or for the internet and the world. More access (bring the internet to everyone everywhere in the world), more accessibility (to people with disabilities), freedom to information (free educational full length textbooks over the internet) or stop the pirating of copyrighted material (a crime to which many of us are guilty). What do you think?

Why not just have the wiki, so everyone posts what they want the pogotribe to accomplish, and that whole list would be our noble cause, like instead of saying our noble cause is this and this and this, our noble cause is the Noble List?

Great idea. That really is an insanely good idea! I mean, we're all aiming high anyway - so why not aim especially high. I've added onto the wiki page the "noble list", although it doesn't yet say that all of these ideas will be used - we better wait and see if more people agree first.

yeah, then is someone posts "kill the Jews", we'll have a fun time ... :/ Haha! Well I'm sure each item placed on the noble list would still be open to discussions as to whether it's worth it!

To have a website where everybody can post their ideas, and everybody can say what they think about it, and implement it to the world. Not just saying; Man if you could use your cell phone to pay for cola at dispensers that would be awesome. But doing it. This is very vague, but it could really be something!

This may just be a stepping stone in the journey to the Noble Cause, but what brought us together was the idea of taking part in the tribal society. Perhaps one goal should be to educate others about what it means to be part of a tribe and exemplify all that we can do when working together within that tribe. If our goal is to be an example for others, we are more likely to cooperate on a higher level.

So, out of the ideas suggested - which one do people think is best to be our Noble Cause?

I think it's a good idea to share some things what the admins and Dan talk via Skype calls because that way, most of us here at the South Pole of the Moon won't be that unaware of things and can give an opinion. As for the Noble Cause, it must be something solid (obviously), but instead of focussing in one thing in particular (that way we won't reach the finish line and go 'now what?'), we could focus in many things. I'm not the indicated person to give ideas about that, I can try though, but it's pretty much vague ideas right now.

I think we're jumping a little bit ahead of ourselves here, I think we shouldn't focus on one main noble cause, because quite frankly it should be "to eliminate world suck, or at least take a chunk out of it" or something similar; but what we really should be focusing on is a series of "semi-supreme" goals (kind of like in between our values and our noble cause). Here's a list I put together: 1) Advance all of PogoTribe to stage 5 2) Do (or at least try to) advance everyone in the world up a stage. 3) Help any tribe with a separate but equal cause to reach it (as long as we all agree with it, assuming it isn't like "to destroy the world or something opposite of our goal) And 4) To grow our tribe to a civilization
I hope this makes sense and feel free to add or change!

I think that our noble cause should be to teach people through skills they learn here (on pogotribe.com) to eliminate world suck
