RabbitWho I don't think Ricky or Click3tyClick are TRYING to be insulting, just realistic. However I do agree what they said was very demoralising but we could all just use it as extra incentive to make this project work and become something really cool, instead of turning it into a full blown argument or something. x

If anything makes people jump "off the bandwagon" it will be your demoralization. I'm sure there's not a single person who could read that post and not feel you were talking about them and feel insulted and mistrusted. I know I did! So cynical! You've seen it all before, huh? Victims of circumstance.. no way to get traction for ideas... You've seen it all before and it doesn't work. You both know each and every one of us and what we're capable of and you've decided that we're capable of nothing! So why bother being on the moon at all? Next time please keep yeer attacks to yourselves. It's off topic and super counter productive. I simply tried to explain Ricky's point of view. Next time I'll just remain silent.

Right! We have an awesome list of members and maybe we'll even get a few more.
So we should stay on topic, ideas for example! Constructive criticism, cats vs. dogs.. no not cats vs dogs..

O.O
please don't hurt me XD
Rabbit, I'm really sorry if I insulted you or anyone else. Those were by no way my intentions. As to what the people from the moon are capable of doing: If anything makes me sad is that I know we are all capable of doing something so great it could change the world, and yet we don't.
Still if my post does discourage someone its most likely because they didn't mean to stay on course with the commitment that this project demands. I just don't want people to say "this is a great idea" and never come back to the thread. I think that's understandable
(and no I am not speaking about anyone in specific, specially you)

Ricky you're just making this worse and worse, please get back on topic and stop spreading lies* and discouragement and negativity.
*you said the pogotribe doesn't do anything to fight worldsuck and it DOES! and it has many times!
I'm sending you a PM to try and explain why this is so counter-productive, in the mean time, lets get back on topic? If this thread isn't poisoned!

Now. On to ideas for projects:
How about we do what youtubers do for more subscribers.
Dan posts a video explaining it. We do random stuff after we reach a certain amount of money and we donate it.
P.S.: lies? If anything it is just a matter of opinion but I doubt it could be considered a lie

That's a good idea. Dan might mention it in a pogotok but he has been reluctant in the past to do anything on the Pogobat channel on request. I guess he doesn't want to be "space for rent" and that's more than fair. To be honest I have a job already and I'd rather spend my free time relaxing and/or getting annoyed at things people say on forums than doing a second job. Plus aside from proofreading I can't think of a single salable skill i have.. and I already volunteer proofread for a non-profit so I dunno what more I could do that wouldn't be horribly unpleasant. I liked your idea (it was yours, right?) about pairing people with different views much better.

Yea that one was mine, but that one wasn't really about ending world-sucking. Here is the linkNot sure what the issue was with it. I guess people weren't interested

@ricky & Francisco, I realize that you're being realistic, but that's why I'm being so cautious about this. I'm only letting people that I know will really be dedicated help out. And this is going to be far more structured and rigorous than any other project that has been created thus far. The world-suck-ending projects have failed so far because they weren't structured, and they were more suggestions, like "Hey, you could do this. That would make someone happy...." But we'll have specific, measurable goals, we'll do whatever we need to in order to reach them, and when we're done, we'll move on to another project. Oh yeah, and I'M doing this one, so that pretty much guarantees success

So this is about ... building a group of people which would support projects?

So this is about ... building a group of people which would support projects? Not just projects in general.. projects about ending world suck, which typically get ignored by most members.

I'm in. Conditionally. If we can develop genuine world-suck-ending-goals, I'm game. So, for the time being, consider this an official volunteering.
