Zang, why is it that important to you that Skype is better? Do you really need to start debates all over the place just to prove a point in a topic that is specifically about the IRC?

I didn't ask who started it, I asked why you really need to prove your point that much.

Another member asked a simple question of why we don't just use the Skype chat. You took over and turned it into a huge deal.
Zang, this entire argument is pointless. You prefer Skype. Bree prefers IRC. Nothing either of you say is going to change that. There is no reason for you to prove your point. It's an opinion, and it's a valid one. Bree's is just as valid.
Open discussion and debate is fine. Pointless arguing is not. So yeah, please stop. Thanks.

Bree says the skype chat sucks. Since Bree is an admin, a bunch of members just assume the skype chat is some horrible pice of bullcrap without even trying it.

The debates in the debate club are productive, intelligent discussions. This is not.
You don't like debating over random shirt, you like ARGUING over random shirt. And by doing so, you're just spamming and creating conflict. Stop.
You can treat that as a warning, thanks.

1.) I've never seen a productive debate, and when it comes down to it, it's just people's opinions
2.) There's no difference in arguing and debating imo, debating is just more formal

See, now you're arguing about arguing.
How about if you really want to argue with me about the difference between arguing/debating, and the point of the debate club, you can IM me on Skype. I'd be glad to talk to you.
However, this thread is for discussing the IRC chat. If I keep responding to you, then we'll both be spamming. Take it elsewhere.

I'm sorry, but I did say "in my opinion." That's what bothers me... because I'm an admin, apparently I'm not entitled to post my opinions on this board. Crazy. :/

You've just got to take into account that people take your opinions seriously. In a perfect scenario, your shiny name wouldn't matter, but sadly, it does.

Ehm yeh. About this I have a IRC chat hosting thingie on another program called "SwiftKit" is it possible to connect through that? I play Runescape LOADS and connecting through swiftkit would problably let me be in there much more than on this browser version.. I'm just saying I don't use internet explorer much.. I'll try to keep updated on this thread to see responses.

Really? I just looked in, surprised to actually see conversation. It's been active for the past half hour. :O I'm not sure why I have to be so alone in making this place active. Like I said, if a few people (not always the same people) would stay in there to entertain anyone that joins, it would quickly become and stay active. But I can't do it myself. I also don't really understand the resistance to this chat (besides spite, which is just dumb). Every online community I've ever been a part of has had an amazing (and beneficial) IRC room. It almost seems essential. I can understand not liking the layout of the widget on the site, but as I've mentioned before, IRC is insanely customizable... you just have to do some Googling to make it so. The widget really is just for casual, new people. On that note, if anyone knows anything about anything, and wants to recommend a better/more attractive way to embed the chat on the forums, that'd be awesome. :p
