I think they're gonna choose more based on their impression of the person rather than other peoples' (fair enough), so I wouldn't worry.

I know that, I am just saying to not go on that only. What I was pointing out was that you don't know if they would be best fit. Even if they are recomended by all, don't put them that much ahead of one who isnt. I was just saying that if I were part of the team, I would have brought this up.(As I am sure it was)

Does anyone know when Mods are going to be recruited?

I assume late June/early july. After Admins have settled and there will probably be a huge hike in members.

[quote Note: Recommendations may or may not affect our decision. A user getting a lot of recommendations does not necessarily increase their chances of getting the job. We just wanted to give you guys a chance to privately and officially tell us about someone you believe would make a good admin. [/quote] Also: We will get new mods when the current moderation team (the admins at this point in time) decide they need some help.

Hi.. sorry if this has been posted already, but could we see a list of people who have applied? Because there's no point in recommending someone who doesn't want to be Admin I think..

No, that's rather private information, sorry. You have to tell a person you're recommending them anyway, so if you have someone you'd like to recommend, just ask them if they've applied.

No, that's rather private information, sorry. Why? So, who did you vote for in the 2008 election?

So, who did you vote for in the 2008 election? Random question?

So, who did you vote for in the 2008 election? Random question? Nope, it's not. You get to choose who whether or not to tell people who you voted for, but the government can't and won't divulge that information. It's the same thing here. You get to choose whether or not to tell the forum if you applied, but the admins are NOT going to release that information.

No, that's rather private information, sorry. Why? I'll give you one of the reasons: because when we pick the new admins, and you know all who applied, you'll know all of the people that got turned down. If that person chooses to tell you that they applied, then so be it. However, it is not at our liberty to tell you every single person who applied. It's funny how whenever we say that we don't need to tell the members something, you pop up out of nowhere asking why. =P

This is my Rickymendation: Ricky. SeewhatIdidtharr?! Thanks Cam, I'm not applying though. Still, you should apply. I like your ideas and for the most part implement them fast and efficiently. You would make for a great admin c:

That's so different John McCain and Obama didn't hide that they were running >.< Really, dude? wow ... Okay, I just typed a long comment, but I don't feel like explaining it. Long story short, it's not fair to the applicants if they don't want to tell anyone.

No one is really RUNNING for admin. The only people voting are the admins. It is more like applying for a job. The whole analogy to politics is particularly pointless...
