I think the "what the flip" project counts as successful now that one person besides me has taken part in it I've certainly learned an awful lot from doing it . Things that would make it better: if over 100 people were following it on twitter (instead of 4) If people would discuss each topic in the debate forum If more people would get involved This seems to be a major theme in the failure of most projects. The inability of the pogotribe to band together. It shows a serious flaw in our system of projects. On my wiki page I actually posted all the projects I can think of that I participated in. They make me proud, and as my list grows, i feel like I accomplished something. I don't do things for the list to grow, the list is just a stand alone history of the things I have done. But it brings us back to the problem. Most of the time, people just don't care enough to participate in awesome projects. They like the coolness of collab videos though. The Dan Brown Birthday collab, Collaborative wink, the collaborative FSM pogotribe response. All these videos were successful projects. People don't care about our projects (mine and yours), but if we can find the elements that make a project successful, and then incorporate them into our projects, perhaps change will come to the moon. But again, and I cannot stress this enough. The main problem on the moon right now, is that people just don't care.

The main problem on the moon right now, is that people just don't care. Wrong. Make a reasonable project that people can contribute to without spending 5 hours and people will contribute. People have lifes.

You just gave me an idea. -------------------------------- But more on that later, you have exactly the attitude I have.. that instead of just blaming everyone else we need to figure out what we're doing wrong and how to get other people on board. We can't expect everyone to be like us, we need to build the projects around what people are actually like and not what we are hoping they are like. I don't think that people don't care.. I think they do.. but we need to make an infrastructure that makes the projects more appealing to them... how to do that? I dunno yet! But look at the light bulb! twitter.com/whattheflipisHere's a link to the twitter, it joins up with the tumblr page which is always slower to update because tumblr want you to edit the HTML and not just use UBB codes so it takes a while to convert everything into a proper format. Anyone who's on the forum doesn't really need to follow it unless you want to RT to your friends!

I start lots of projects.. like the tribe theme song.. But if everyone else were to write it and put it together, and all I did was have the idea and help people stay committed, that wouldn't make it my project...
