fertility really has nothing to do with it if you actually think about it. If it was only about that then wouldn't all men be attacted to the same size and shape? But they're not. Because fertility isn't the only thing we're sexually attracted to in partners. Fertility is part of it (and why physical appearance might be more important to men than women) and the entirety of the genetic code is another. I can't say anything "some men aren't attracted to the breast at all." I don't think it's a great argument, since most men absolutely are, but to address no intention of reproduction: You don't look at an attractive person and consciously think to yourself "I want to have children with that person," (without some level of meta-cognition) just as you don't look at someone and somehow know what their genetic code is and identify that as why you're attracted to them. Hunger, for another example, doesn't work so consciously either. People don't tend to think they should eat food because it contains caloric energy, people just eat because of the emotive property of hunger. If one stimulate the portion of the brain that satisfies hunger without actually eating, then they feel hunger (check Olds and Milner for that one). The point is that a behavior has a motivation for it, whether or not it's conscious or even wanted, for that matter. Hell if fertility was the only reason then how do lesbians exist? Women can be just as attracted to other women's breasts as men are and we know women can't reproduce with other women so obviously fertility has nothing to do with physical attraction. I can't give a total answer to this, as I don't think anyone can. The cause of homosexuality is often considered a developmental imbalance of hormones, to which one could assert that certain parts of their brain exhibit male behaviors (which is somewhat confirmed) and for the second part I could hypothesize something with mirror neurons, but I'm not really sure. That all makes allot more sense when you explain it that way, thanks I never thought of it like that before. The only point I can really argue with is this... "I can't say anything "some men aren't attracted to the breast at all." I don't think it's a great argument, since most men absolutely are" Yeah most men are but there are men who could care less about a woman's breasts, not just gay men either. It kinda goes with the idea that breasts are only for feeding infants, if you look at it that way then there's nothing sexually appealing about a woman's breasts. If you think of breasts as a sexual thing then it's kinda disturbing to also allow breastfeeding as that would mean you're basically thinking sexually about your own child. Basically I think the two aren't connected because if they were then how do you seperate sexual attraction for maternity? Maternity being purely about reproduction and caring for a child. Sexual attraction being purely about pleasure. The breastfeeding thing for example. If sexual attraction and maternity are the same then how is breastfeeding not sexual? There has to be a moral line drawn somewhere between sexual attraction and maternity otherwise it's not possible to seperate the two. The people who are agenst breastfeeding are so because they only see the breasts as sexual, not maternal. People who are for breastfeeding tend to see it as maternal only, not sexual. That's why I think some men aren't attracted to the breasts because why would they let their wives breastfeed if they thought it was sexual?

I think beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder...
In other words: Only when a woman thinks, by herself insert blonde joke here, her breast size is not what she'd like, then SHE should decide whether or not to change it.
nobody should decide for this lady, nor should her decision be somehow altered by others. this includes the surgeon in question.

I think that if you want breast implants, go for it, but I think that they should be informed on the risks a week before.
Boobs or no boobs, I think all ladies are beautiful on the inside (did I also mention that I want a long term relationship and that I'm really sensitive? Ladies are you heading this?)

If someone doesn't feel confident in their own skin and they seriously think (and have considered the pros and cons of breast augmentation) it will help them feel more confident I'm all for that. It's all about what's on the inside not on the outside..... wait.... you get my point ;P

I don't think confidence should come in the form of silicone, but it should be a woman's right to do it.

Consider this. The reason for men's attraction to breasts was the woman's capability of feeding her young. This is no longer necessary; women are now capable of feeding their children even if they are totally incapable of breastfeeding them. Therefore it's no longer a trait necessary for evolutionary advantage. Men's attraction to breasts becomes a 'neutral trait' -- neither beneficial nor detrimental -- and so genetic mutations that reduce men's attraction to breasts may occur and will not be eliminated by sexual or natural selection.

I don't think confidence should come in the form of silicone, but it should be a woman's right to do it. This is a very true thing. If they really want it then we shouldn't discourage them from extra confidence.

To be honest any possible breast-related insecurities I could have would be more to do with the shape of my breasts, and maybe my nipples. Well: I'm happy to say I don't have weird nipples or oddly shaped breasts. I think things like that are more off-putting than a lack of voluptuousness in the booby department.

I think most men would agree that is more about shape than size. Some big ole boobies look absolutely nasty. while B cups with nice shape are owsum. It really depends on proportion too.

Yeah. I think really big boobies are more likely to have big weird nipples too... I'm just about bigger than a B, but as I'm 5 f 2 this is proportionately kinda big I guess.

Of course it's not a necessity. Hahah. That's kind of moving backwards. Clearly though, you prefer them to be bigger, then?

I always figured if women had bigger boobs it was a guarantee to the male that their babies would be fed well and prosper.

That's a dominant idea, but even itty bitty titties can swell right up and nourish just fine for childbirth.
