I don't remember what age, but here is my story. One Christmas Eve, I had trouble sleeping, so I went downstairs, only to find my parents placing presents beneath the tree.

I was just 12 I think. I think had i thought about it I would have been like: wait... wait... no. But I didn't, cause I got presents. I remember in 6th grade writing a letter to santa on the computer and a girl in the year below me was like: you still believe in santa? lol! and i was all: yeah totally. he exists. he gives me presents. then my parents had to go ruin it on me.
then a few months later i stopped believing in god. woo.

Ok, I'm finally telling my story. When I was about 7/8 years old, I was watching one charity program with my parents. My mom was explaining my the program and I ask "Why doesn't Santa give presents to those kids?". She had to invent something in the spot, I think it was something as "Santa only gives one present to each people, they are just giving more presents so it is fair".
From that day forward I started asking some questions about "How can Santa go around the globe in one night?" and several others.
One night, I go see my parents and ask them: "Seriously, does Santa really exist?". My mom tries to cover it up while my dad says "Nope, he doesn't".
And that is how I found out Santa doesn't exist.

I DID believe in the Easter Bunny, though.. and the Tooth Fairy... Thinking about it, I don't see how I knew Santa wasn't real, but believed in other stuff. My parents never tried to make us believe Santa was real, they just made it a fun part of the holidays. He was the same as Mickey Mouse or Cinderella to me. But I remember my dad laughing with us and telling us stories about how Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, Cupid, Uncle Sam, and the Thanksgiving turkey all lived together in a giant house somewhere and told each other stories about stupid humans. Which would be a pretty awesome holiday special, I gotta say.
