I just made a big post proving that there WOULD be a second round before I realised that you said that there WOULD be, not that there WOULDN'T be. I even ended it with "so neh!". I really need to learn to read properly..
But yeah, so I hear. yay =D

One common rule that has been widely observed is that in any group of three people two will tend to unite against the other one. This makes triads a far less stable arrangement than dyads. Larger groups also tend to be more stable because of the greater variety of relationships that can form in them. This is true for many different groups of people from groups of three siblings to groups of coworkers. This rule makes triads a very unstable grouping that has a high likelihood of leading to conflict. Because of this, groups of three are often avoided. just sayin

Still better than 2 or 4. 5 would probably be ideal, I think, since then at least one person is likely to notice if someone's being left out. Although then a leader will probably arise and that might cause drama. I suppose it depends on the type of group you need, what they'd be doing... sorry, I'm just rambling now =P

So everyone, it's been 2 days since the Triads video was uploaded! Does anyone want to tell me how stuff is going for your Triad so far? Anyone discovered they have an incredibly awesome one?

One common rule that has been widely observed is that in any group of three people two will tend to unite against the other one. This makes triads a far less stable arrangement than dyads. Larger groups also tend to be more stable because of the greater variety of relationships that can form in them. This is true for many different groups of people from groups of three siblings to groups of coworkers. This rule makes triads a very unstable grouping that has a high likelihood of leading to conflict. Because of this, groups of three are often avoided. just sayin That's weird, because I've heard the exact opposite of that. Not just from Dan and David Logan, but in sociology class. In fact, I'll quote this passage from my sociology book about it: "Simmel also studied the triad, a social group with tree members. A triad contains three relationships, each of which unites two of the three people. A triad is more stable than a dyad because one member can act as a mediator if relations between the other two become strained. This analysis of group dynamics helps explain why members of a dyad (say, spouses having conflict) often seek out a third person (such as a marriage counselor) to discuss tensions between them." The next paragraphs outline the disadvantages (basically what you quoted) and that larger groups DO tend to be more stable. But really, as long as no one forms romantic relationships with someone else in their triad, I don't see it being that much of a problem. I mean, I'd love for my triad to be with Dan and Danielle, but I'm almost positive I'd feel like a third wheel. And these triads aren't as natural as normal triads. We are aware that we're in a triad, and because of that, I think there will be more of an effort to not leave one person out. So I think it will work.

Hey Dan. It it okay if we just talk about our triad (#10) on the forum? We're really having trouble getting a meeting time set because we have such a time difference between us.

The third member of triad 9 is not responding.. I won't tell you who, as that's not important and people might go and spam them, but what do I do if there's only two of us? Will there be a new member? *Kramer entrance* Dont worry im here! sorry, i had an unexpected event

Update for triad #5: We talked on Skype on Saturday and Sunday (we couldn't do it sooner because of the time difference). We talked about school, AP classes, being nerds, rhetorical devices (zeugma, synecdoche, etc.), music, hobbies, fears, and a bunch of other things. We decided on the name "Nerdy Norwericans" which will be abbreviated "NerNor." Our motto is "We're alektorophobic, chiroptophobic, and somniphobic, but we're not selenophobic" to reflect the conversation we have about fears. Our flag (below) uses the colors of the Norwegian and American flags, and has one picture to represent each of us. Attachments:

Well, for triad 10 which is known as the Agents of Awesome, (hopefully we're not sounding like a "I'm great and you are not" type of attitude) and our colors are red and black, all of the members are guys and Kralabacka lives in Sweden! We learned alot of basic things about ourselves like where we live, our passions/talents etc, and a little more besides that.

Triad #4 is deffo kicking butt. We're the BuhGiDuh group and we're starting a vlog bit soon. It'll probably be mon-wed-fri since that makes most sense with 3 people. I'm currently in the process of coming up with a rap/vlog intro song, but I've hit a wall since I can't get the irish drinking song out of my head. I, Laura, am Buh. Kim is Gi, and Cameron is Duh. We've talked on skype and chat a lot. We've talked about school and what we want to do with our lives and such. We're all REALLY excited(as if no one else is..psh) about whatever is coming tomorrow

I posted this in the Triad #3 thread over in the Triad section a few days ago and forgot that we had to post it here as well. Sorry. Ze culture of AWESOME: We like to play on the internet. We like creative writing. We appreciate or are involved in theatre. We are smart women! And we appreciate other smart women. Indigenous Food: animal crackers. PSYCHOLOGY (all three of us want to be psychologists when we grow up) We appreciate art and music We also talked about people we like on YouTube (favorites), tv shows we like/watch, music. Jocelyn told us about her love of product design. Liz talked about her obsession of Harry Potter We talked about Paper Towns. We agreed that we could change or add things to our culture throughout the lifetime of our triad. And then we had a dance party. YES! FLAG:
