Depends. Not those stupid "LOL YEAH! JEEESUS DIED FOR YOU!". Some are good I guess? Your definition of Christian rock is very minimal though haha.
Devil Wears Prada- Christian Hardcore band
Greeley Estates- Considered Christian band. This song is about struggling with your belief in God.

rock based on christianity - i disapprove of but some fo the bands like Skillet and Flyleaf are too awesome to be hated =P These are the words out of my mouth, but neither of them claim to be strictly 'Cristian'. But God 'influences' their songs.

Honestly, there is some good Christian Rock out there. There are some songs that I really like, and some that I can't stand.
Do I listen to it day and night? No Do I enjoy one or two songs from the genre? Yes
Overall, the poll seems a little too black and white to be fair to the genre.

I love Christian rock =) Not so much the Christianity part of it.. but sometimes that's what I need for a pick-me-up when I'm down. I've been a big fan of Relient K, Switchfoot, Thousand Foot Krutch and Skillet for years. So those ones are on my list of favourites, along with Everyday Sunday, Hawk Nelson, Hello Kelly, Stellar Kart, Manafest, and Anberlin.

Creed's old stuff was okay... And Evanescence (sp?) was good when they called themselves Christian rock.

Some Christian rock bands are good, but most are not very..."easy on the ears," so to speak.

How come there's not a poll alternative that goes something like "Sure, if they want to. I probably wouldn't listen to them but if that's what they want, then why not".
It's not like you have to either love it or dislike it. You might just want to respect their choice, even though you probably wouldn't listen to them? =P As Justin said, the poll seems a little too black and white.
And well, if the music's good, who cares if it's christian or not? I wouldn't discard a band just because they were making christian music.

It's so stupid, and pretentious. There are christian bands like Underoath that are ok because they're not really a chrstian band just a band of christians but anybody singing about their love for Jesus or.... screaming about their love for Jesus isn't my thing.

What I really hate is the idea of Christian punk rock.
Come on.

Christian Black Metal is by far the most ironic thing I've ever heard.

Gotta love the South Park episode where Cartman starts a Christian Rock band. XD
As for me, I've liked some songs that happen to be Christian Rock, and in those cases the lyrics were pretty universal, and you'd have to really read into them to figure out it's about God, or something.
But I'm not a fan of the extremely overt "WOOOO JESUSSSS" Christian music, especially when it's screamo. >_> Just creeps me out a little, but that's just my opinion.

see... while I don't go in for christian ROCK so much, I do love modern Christian music. I go to Soul Survivor, which is a bit like going to church twice a day for a week, while at the same time being quite a lot like going to a rock concert twice a day for a week... it's great. I love the worship songs, where you can sing along and just yell... that's ossum

My opinion is much like everyone else's here. I can't stand the Christian music they play on the radio, most of it wasn't even released in my lifetime. There are some great christian rock bands out there, but they're few and far between. In fact, my favorite rock band is on a christian label, but they aren't technically a 'christian' band. 'The Classic Crime' for the win.
