i think that you should try to brake the longest live web cast ever (100 h according to Google answers) I'd have to agree here. It would be cooler to us. How about dan doing a real version of the movie 'The Truman Show' for a week. I'm sure that would be cool On second thoughts, I believe this "Dan 3.0" idea might be a world record itself? any ideas guys?

Pogosticking for over 24 hours will be insanely difficult, but go for it! I think it's a great idea

Definitely pogostick + webcast while doing it. Have a lot of friends and family there, to support you, and they can also read out messages/play videos from the live chat. As for training... this definitely is a long-term goal. Go for more and more training every day (or at least, seeing how packed your schedule is, every other day) and report to us how you're doing. You could even have a "mid-way" webcast showing you attaining half of the record, as preparation! There would be no direct time-limit as to when you'd need to actually attempt the record (unless the PogoTribe decided one later) but we don't want the goal to occupy too much of Dan 3.0 (more than half a year is just overdoing it). My two cents.

100TH VOTE. WOOT.
Yeah, most consecutive pogosticking bounces sounds like a really good idea.
But, the record he has to beat is 177,737? Seriously, that guy must have had rock hard thighs by the time he was done.
YOU CAN DO IT, DAN.

Maybe you should do something that takes time or cunning rather than excruciating leg pain.
1) Largest Lego tower
2) Fastest Rubik's cube completion.
3) Longest vlog entry. (I would love it if you did this one)
Among other things.

Here's my idea, which we can all change/adjust/shoot down as we go.
Break three records at once. I've seen them all talked about in this thread, but I say we break them all in one go. The three records; most consecutive pogo stick jumps, longest webcast and longest YouTube video can all be broken at one time. Simply host an event (if you wanted to do it in Lincoln, that wouldn't be a bad plan. It's very central to the country) in which you attempt to jump at least 177,738 times, broadcast a live feed to Ustream, BlogTV or Livestream (or a similar site) as well as record that feed (or have another, higher res camera, set up to do it) at the same time. Assuming you jumped at a rate of 120jpm, that would be 24 hours and 40 minutes.
I already mentioned this earlier, but I think an event in Lincoln sometime in the spring would be good. It would give time for training and planning. I've planned events before, so if everyone likes the idea I would be happy to lend a hand in planning an event like this.
Thoughts?

Im showing big support for dan and the pogosticking record. Dan even admits himself that he is not nearly the best at rubiks cubing, he is however good at teaching people to cube. Dan could definitely pull off the pogostick record.

Dan could definitely pull off the pogostick record. Agreed. Pogosticking offers the chance for an event to gather and have fun. Rubik's cubing wouldn't last long enough. 24.6 hour event > 7 second video, if he can even solve it that fast.

He should stick a pedometer onto the pogo stick to keep track. Would that even work?

He should stick a pedometer onto the pogo stick to keep track. Would that even work? We would have to arrange (or vote for Dan to arrange) someone from the GBoWR to come and keep track, otherwise it's not official.
