My thoughts on Dan 3.0:
First of all I want to commend Dan for taking on this project. It took some Cajones to even attempt something like this. Unfortunately you got them kicked into your throat. But that happens when venturing into the unknown.
As for the project I think that it was oversold. It wasn't so much as control of your life as it was control over the content of the show. Which in a round about way would have be control of your life. And the daily task thing was never really possible. Some things just need to be planned out.
Now if I was in your shoes I would chalk these past couple of months up as a learning experience, sit down, regroup, and roll out Dan 3.1.
Things I would do different :
1) Handling of tasks:
a) Pick all of the tasks for the project at the beginning or on a monthly/quarterly basis. This will allow for planning and scheduling of the more complex tasks especially when you need to get sponsors involved. You can ask for fillers and quick task during the run as needed. Your current method is logistically impossible to fulfill. I looked at your accepted task list and I fell on the floor. I think you already accepted more than a years worth of production.
b) Rate tasks by types: Quick Hits, Low, Medium, & High Complexity. Also by production time. This will allow you to schedule your planning, filming, and production so you know whats coming up and what to expect.
2) Bank some task footage. Film a bunch of the quick or low complexity tasks at once to allow you to edit them and have them ready when needed. Spend one day editing say for the week and just upload daily and add in you morning thoughts. This way if you were busy on a more complex task you could concentrate on that and have you daily show ready for upload.
3) Plan your filming as much as you can ahead to cut back on the amount of editing needed. I have found it is definitely a lot harder to edit a bunch of random footage together than to sit down ahead of time and plan the shooting order.
4) Mr. Murphy works for everyone and everywhere so always expect issues.
5) REMEMBER MOST IMPORTANT: THAT WHICH DOES NOT KILL US ONLY MAKES US STRONGER.
Keep at it and keep up the Good Work.
I hope this is some help.

If you think this is a good idea vote for it:

If you have any ideas to help make Dan's project easier to manage while still keeping with his original goals comment them.
