While viewing another post on these forums, I started searching google for a myriad of different things. I found this quote by an unknown author that I found to be true in my life, and apparently in most of yours and Dan's as well. It is something that we (myself in particular) have latched on to in Dan and others in the nerdfighter community. Call it hope, call it faith, call it whatever, but I feel it is the enthusiasm of all of us to affect positive change. Ending world suck is a project we all share and one in which success is not thought possible, but... “Enthusiasm is more important than any other commodity. It will find solutions when none are apparent, and it will achieve success where none is thought possible.” Think on it for a bit. Are we sheep here because Dan told us to come, or are we enthused by the promise of something bigger, larger than ourselves. ... no pressure at all Dan, just don't let us down is all

I know I originally joined beacuse I was thrilled about Dan's project, and he suggested that one should join the Moon if one wanted to follow it up. But I soon realized the potential of this community, and so I also got thrilled about the prospects of it.
So I guess there's a little bit of both in my case x)

I "realized the potential of this community" so.... yeah. So for me it was curiosity, then the want to be noticed, then discoveries, then enthusiasm I guess?

I. LOVE. THAT. QUOTE.
Seriously, it's great and very true. Thumbs up.
Also, I originally joined because I liked the idea of tribes. Now I realize this isn't just an "oh, that's a cool idea" kind of place. We're changing the world, guys! :]

there is enough enthusiasm in this tribe to power a world size country for years The day I joined the tribe I thought I would only look around, and everything seemed already so in place. I started posting and now I can't stay away P.S Cortney, I think you are right. We are changing the world ;D

Hmm.. I don't really no what else to say to that except for that.. I agree with it, and I think it definitely applies to most of us here on the moon! I. LOVE. THAT. QUOTE. I just joined a few minutes ago actually... but that is a very cool quote. I joined mostly because I liked the idea of being part of a community, and this is probably the coolest community ever to evolve on the internet. I was watching it for a while (watching Dan's videos and reading threads and posts on the Moon), and I was fine with simply watching it all go by. But today I decided I was missing out, and talked myself into actually joining. =D So yeah... probably enthusiasm. This is an awesome place.

This is basically what Value 4 says: "Think impossibly big." And therefore it's awesome ;D
