Had an idea. Maybe a stupid one. Like, put a section where you can say goodbyes BUT NOT LIKE THAT! Like, when you will be gone for a few days..

Unneeded though. Staff sections usually have a thread for that. But for regular members, I don't find the need for a thread just for people to post if they're gonna be away for a few days. But try it, won't hurt.

If people will be away they normally put a message in their signature, has worked well enough for me.

When I read it I first thought "but only for the 'a few days' kind of goodbye" but then realised you thought the same . I don't think you really need to make a thread just about that, but if you really want then there's the Anything and Everything! section, or if you really want to, maybe you could try to change the Introduccións! section and make it an introduction+goodbye section *Points at Swimfellow goodbye thread*.

Already been discussed, but I'll forgo locking this one or merging since this one already has a few posts itself. But, let me quote my oh-so-snarky reply to that thread. Or we could stop acknowledging those who leave at all. Lets be honest here, people. No one really cares that you're leaving. No one will notice you're gone. And if they do, it'll be in passing thought. Anyone who cares more, unless you're living in 1997, can probably contact you in some other way than this forum. I don't think anyone needs a thread or a post. They just need to get over themselves. Right, but, again... no one cares if someone is going on vacation. They could just put "On vacation in Vermont for three weeks!" in their signature. PROBLEM SOLVED. (The first quote is about "WTF I HATE YOU GUYS SO MUCH YOU ALL SUCK GOODBYE" leaving threads, the second quote is about "going on vacation" threads.)Instead of a section, just a thread was being talked about there. I'd much prefer a thread over an entire section, but I'm still quite opposed to a thread, too (not that I can stop anyone from making one). Just don't see the point. I feel like even a thread will encourage people who leave out of rage or drama. And, as I said above, no one is going to care or notice that you don't post for a week or two, lol. If they do, they can just check out your profile, where you could have a message in your signature, or have made a post in the "General Discussion" thread saying what's up. That's my heavy 2 cents.
