UPDATE: We've received and finalized 7 submissions so far, and have more in the editing process! It's a good start, but we need far more to make this project memorable and impactful. Please keep sending in your work![/size]
PogoPrint is one of the most ambitious projects attempted as of yet, but we believe it can and will be a project of astronomical proportions not only for our triad, but for the PogoTribe as a whole.
You may notice that PogoPrint is in italics. This is because the PogoPrint is a work of literature; or at least, it will be. PogoPrint will be a compilation book of all of the literary talent latent within the PogoTribe. Beginning right now, and ending on the second generation triadic project deadline of May 9th, 2010, we will be collecting pieces of writing from any and all PogoTribe members.
What can be submitted?:
In regards to tribe members who may wish to submit more than one piece of writing, we will accept multiple submissions from each individual, provided that each submission is quality work. Please don't just throw a bad haiku together just so you can be a part of the project. We want this to showcase the best and the brightest among us, not just be a collection of juvenile poetry.
Each piece submitted will be subject to an editorial process within The Floccinaucinihilipilificators triad. If the changes are of a nature other than simple formatting or spelling errors, we will return your work to you to verify that it was not altered too heavily. We will continue this back-and-forth process of edits and confirmations until we arrive upon a final revision that is deemed suitable for the PogoPrint, as well as remaining faithful to the author's original vision.
Come May 9th, I, along with my triadic partners, will begin formatting all of the accepted submissions. Sometime thereafter, we will be getting an actual 6"x9" hard-copy published of all the works we've received up to that point. After that, we will continue accepting submissions, and create subsequent editions of PogoPrint as we accumulate more pieces to add.
Our goal is to collect at least 32 pages of material by May 9th in order to publish a first printing. This is a larger amount of writing than it would seem, so we need as much of what you have to share as possible. Don't be shy, we want to see writing of every color and flavor that exists on the SPOTM.
Submissions can be sent to: PogoPrint@gmail.com
Preferred format: .doc attachment
Also include: Any information you would like to be published alongside your work, such as real name, forum name, triad, or age.
For logistical purposes, we would prefer that all submissions be made via email, rather than as a link or a comment. This is to make sure we don't miss any entries, as well as making the bookkeeping easier on us.
So get cracking, and show us what you've got, PogoTribe.
