So, where should the Dan 3.0 section be?
If you don't think it belongs directly under any category, please specify where you think it should be.

Its own forum.

I think it should be it's own section. (I'm not sure what to call a 'section' but you know what I mean...) It's a super unique entity and Dan3.0 alone is surely responsible for a handful of new SPOTM memberships.
Edit: After looking at the front page, it makes sense to me if it would go inbetween 'Communty' and 'Discussion'

But I'm indifferent about where it should go as long as it's under an already existing category.

Well if I had to choose an existing category, Discussion. It just seems so odd for Dan3.0 to be such a big thing and yet be under 'Misc' at the bottom of the page.

Meh, I don't know. It's not only discussion, as it has some threads that are purely advertising for tasks.Ç I don't know. I'm trying to decide between Misc, Community, and it's own sections.

So, it will not be in its own section?

I agree with Picnic, I think it should have its own forums. There's just so much that people have to say about it, and it's really messy when you shove it all into one category. If it was in its own forums someone'd be able to organise it better and it would be able to grow and develop and be more efficient in general.
Also there's the whole "this is not a Dan Brown fan club" thing, so it'd reduce the number of people who are here just cause of Dan. BUTTS, I know we don't wanna like, split the community up too blatantly (y'know, apart from the fact that it'll naturally split either way), so maybe there could be like, a forum link thing to it, like we have with Pogopedia? That way if people come here looking for Dan 3.0 they'll still have the opportunity to check out the other cool stuff we do, but they'll still be redirected to where they really wanted to go.
Yeah thats my 2c anyway.

Shove it in projects. That might make people look around a little and actually participate in other forums.

You guys really exaggerate how "big" Dan 3.0 is. The project may be big, but the forum isn't. There is, at any given time, maybe one active thread there. Maybe two or three if Dan encourages discussion here, the third usually dying by the next day with a mere 0-2 replies. Blah blah blah expanding it will encourage discussion. No it won't. It won't. You're crazy. Because you also exaggerate the number of people who visit here on a regular basis just for Dan 3.0. There aren't many. There can't be. Do you ever look at the "Active Users In The Past 24 Hours"? Because I do. In fact, I just went through and counted every username I recognized as routinely posting outside of Dan 3.0. It was about 70. The total number of people on the list right now is 89. I'm willing to bet 15 of those remaining 19 just don't even post at all, and maybe the remaining 4 only visited to see the Dan 3.0 forum. Now, ok, if that changes, sure. If Dan 3.0 gets active enough and it's clear that it has an entirely separate userbase from the rest of the forum, then it could be put into it's own category. And the possibility of removing it from SPOTM completely could be discussed with Dan (although I'd still be completely opposed to that). But right now, Dan 3.0 barely warrants its own section, much less an entire category or site. Insane_Zang: If enough people want it... with good reason. I personally haven't seen any good reason. It's just what people personally want (I suspect based on a dislike or disinterest in Dan 3.0), backed up by nada (or backed up with things that can be disputed by the pros Dan 3.0 provides). Start showing some evidence and you might even convince me. alex: It's already been in Projects... Because ProBoards is ProBoards, subsections can drown the main section/other subsections (if you have a certain default setting on). Hence why most subsections have now been moved to the front page.
