ZOMG LOOK A NEW SECTION! I'd like to go over a simple set of rules. - Threads here should be games that you have to post in more than once. If you can post in it once, never come back, and the game goes on, it goes in the Forum Games section.
- If you are going to post in, or make an RPG, please make sure you are dedicated enough to come back.
- Now, we're not (at least I won't) be super strict on stuff. I've seen some forums that are like "YOU CAN'T DO THIS, ONLY THIS, MUST HAVE THIS. DON'T HAVE THIS? LOCK. BAN. GTFO NOOB!" <-Paraphrasing
- HAVE FUN!
Oh and like... don't break any other rules... do we have rules on this forum? Meh, just go play

In some RPG you may just post once and then die... But yeah, great stuff

I have to say this as a roleplaying fan; having to post several times DOES NOT DEFINE ROLEPLAYING.
example: PogoRisk, it's not a roleplay, it's a board game.
kthx.
Tyrope, out.

Err...yes it is. You're playing the part of a war general comanding your armies to world domination.

Using that philosophy you can classify EVERY game as a rolepaying game.
in Monopoly you're the head of a company. (kinda) in Catan you're a colonist. in Pong you're a table tennis player. in Fifa you're 11 soccer players..
shall i continue?

Yes. Those can all be in this section, because you have to come back. Look at all the other games in the Forum Games section. Do you have to come back and post, or can you just post once, leave and never come back and the game will continue?

thank you zang this section really does help me find my favorit games. ohh and tyrope i get what you are saying but at the same time now these sort of games wont be shoved to the second page as easily. heck we have had a slight influx of new games and interest in these games has gone up a slight bit more. so thank you zang and chill tyrope its all cool we can just ignore zangs misunderstanding of what an rpg is and be happy.

Why can't i forum jump straight to this though? Like why isn't it under the forum games as a sub board I can jump straight to? It's kinda annoying... =/

The first rule makes almost all of the RPGs non-RPGs.
We should discuss. \|/

i dont mind placeing these kind of games in there own forum it makes them easier to find and due to how few there are they really wont be forced into the second page ever...

Rather than debating what is or isn't an RPG, maybe we should just consider what the forum is best used for. It makes the most sense to separate the very involved games from the one-shot games, so having the rule set that way makes the most sense. At best, an argument could be made for changing the name of the forum from role-playing games to some other title, but I think the rules fit best the way they are.

Personally - I don't see the point of keeping this thread unlocked - we just need the OP

Do I have to edit my Necro-Posting guidelines to apply to everything?!?!?! Yes you do. BTW, are they stickied somewhere? We should move it somewhere visible if it isn't. I'm too lazy to search
