I've never actually met a Muslim. Really?...Like, srsly? I don't even know how that is statistically possible...

I've never actually met a Muslim. Really?...Like, srsly? I don't even know how that is statistically possible... Correction. I've never met a Muslim who told me about it or I was actually aware he or she was one. You are right, it is highly likely that I have. What I meant to say was "I am fairly ignorant of the Islamic religion and wish to learn more in the future."

Fair enough. That's just especially weird to me because in my town, the Muslim community accounts for 15% of the municipal population. (In a town of over a million people, that's 150,000 representing Islam.) So needless to say I have tons of Muslim friends...Not to mention the neighborhood I live in is about a 50/50 split of Muslim/Not Muslim people.

The town I grew up in didn't have a Muslim population - but I suppose to make up for it, the Hindu population was almost 40% the total.
So - I was a BIT ignorant of their culture until I moved to Peterborough. I went to a Catholic school, 'nuff said.
