I forgot to add Judaism, and put Muslim as a belief, sorry for those who are either Tell us what you believe, or at least vote. You do not have to tell why you believe in that particular religion, but please, no hate or trolling.

If it gets out of hand, I can always get an admin to lock the thread, but still allow people to vote.

What exactly do you mean by Self-beliefs? Wouldn't that be the same as Athiest or Agnostic?

Atheism denounces religion, Agnostic is basically in the grey zone (not enough proof to denounce or verify religion.) I suppose it's possible to have self beliefs while being Atheist or Agnostic.

Don't we already have seventy twelve threads for this? I'm an Atheist, though.

Normally I'd argue semantics, since you can be an agnostic and an athiest, or an agnostic and a theist (which most believers are) because agnostic means "I don't know" - but that's a bit of a derailment.
Anyways, I'm a Taoist - doesn't really count as a religion - it's more of a philosophy, same with Buddhism and Confusionism. I don't believe in a higher power - but I do believe in a equal spiritual force among everything.

Vocal, straight-up and proud atheist. And don't debate with religious people, it's useless.

I believe in myself. Does that counts like a higher power?

One thing I don't like is when people assume that all religious people are the class of Fox News crazy religious folk. Like, my closest friend is a Christian and we were talking today about religion and he said that he disliked the behaviour of those types of people.
Not all religious people are the crazy ones portrayed in the media.

Not all religious people are the crazy ones portrayed in the media. Thanks I was about to say the same thing. Not all of us are insane, I would say its a very small percentage. You cant judge a group by the extremes. I dont think all muslims kill people in the name of Allah, nor do I believe all Atheists are dim witted dumb asses who have no soul. Saying that its useless to debate against religious people is like me saying "its useless to debate atheists because they think they are smarter and cant have an open mind". Look at my debates here, I am religious, yet I still have debating skills. My (catholic) school teaches that if you debate anything, including religion, you should: 1. Ask questions 2. Find common ground 3. Listen. But yea Roman Catholic over heer'! EDIT: I meant Roman Catholic, Pope FTW!

Definitely not religious here. I label myself as someone who believes in a higher power, and thinks the bible stories are symbolic, but didn't actually happen that way. Abraham didn't live into his 100s. That's redonkulous.

but no one can be 100% sure about anything, and thats why I only believe in what seems to be right for me. If i'm proven wrong, so be it, and same if I'm not. as a Nihilistic i will say that existence itself does not exisIt is impossible to distinguish 'existence' from 'non-existence' as there are no objective qualities. Why is it such a big deal that Stephen Hawking said that God didn't create the universe? I do not know if the is god, but as a Nihilistic , I dont have to know because i doesn't mean anything

Vocal, straight-up and proud atheist. And don't debate with religious people, it's useless. It's not useless, it's just that you'll never notice an immediate impact. Or at least, very rarely. Any changes in opinion about topics like this tend to be very gradual. And just by having debates out in the open like this, you may influence the opinions of people who weren't even in the debate. So it's rarely truly pointless. Even in the case of the ultra-crazy religious fundamentalists, responding in some way that shows them to be what they really are will at least help prevent others from falling for their antics.
