This is the game thread. Welcome. Here are the characters. I couldn't bother less with the usernames, you know each other.
Alex - Colin "Steve" Moriches - A comedian that lacks the ability to stop making jokes, even when things get out of hand. His slim figure makes him look a bit fragile, so people avoid every contact, even a friendly patting on the back. He is balding gradually, even if he isn't old enough for it.
Jackson – Jackson Lee Memphis – Jackson is the rich guy of the place. He has a shiny car, driving it around all the time, no matter how much noise it makes. He owes his wealth to his stingy father. Nobody really likes him. Chicks approach him for the money, but he’s the one showing off all the time. This makes Brandon Lyons bully him a lot.
Zang – Josh Wallace – A person famous for his skilled fingers… No pun intended. He has the habit to take the weight from people’s pockets. He’s a really sneaky person that is friendly only when he needs to approach people and get their money. He faints at the sight of blood and isn’t famous for his bravery.
Xanast – Frederick Hunter – No one likes bumping on him when doing something illegal. This sheriff doesn’t really allow people to break the law. He is suffering by insomnia and he spends his time awake watching over the community, ready to emerge and shoot to kill if he has to.
Lyserg – Luke Nichols - Probably a family guy that doesn’t trust anyone. He’s watching his wife with his telescope every time she says that she’ll go to the grocery store. His right eye is twitching all the time. He probably knows every dark secret of the residents of the place.
Ryan – Ryan “Confessor” Vandark - A visitor of the place, a man with unspecified present and past. He introduces himself and asks from people to talk to him about their sins. Both sides of the community keep an eye on him, meaning Lyons and Hunter.
Rogers – Brandon Lyons – He is the owner of the local saloon, but not the most innocent person in there. He is behind every murder that occurred in the past, a local crime lord that takes out everyone that pisses him off. His large size makes him really dangerous. No one wants to mess with him.
Norwegian – Simon Edwards – He is the most pleasant person in the community. He greets everyone with a smile when they enter the grocery store he owns. He is the “good guy” of the place, as he doesn’t sleep late, drink, smoke or proceed to any criminal activities. There are still some people that don’t like him though…
Aust Kyzor – Kyle Devant or Father Devant – When you see him during the day, he’s a priest. When the sun goes down though, he’s a drunk that despises hearing his occupation, even forgetting God in the meanwhile. Of course he doesn’t remember anything the next day and people make fun of him for that.
Kevak – Devin Bianchi – No, he’s not the son of Olivia, he’s just a nephew, so he isn’t really allowed to oppose the vampires alone, like a Vampire Hunter would. This doesn’t mean that he isn’t willing to try. Despite his age, he’s dedicating his life to keep the place safe, even if he has to use his shotgun to shoot a fellow villager on the face. He doesn’t fear death or anything before it.
Vichilux – Daniela Garcia – Being one of the few women in that place, she grew to be more powerful than most men in there. Her magnificence and her power intimidate even Lyons, the most ruthless man. She doesn’t let anyone insult her and if someone does, instead of being sneaky, hitting behind backs, she chooses immediate and direct confrontation, in front of everyone. Everyone in the village respects her, she’s something like the leader in there.
Tony – Tony “Steel” Johnson – There are some people in the community that use guns, but he’s the only one that likes to stick in the ways of the past. He has his own workshop and he creates weapons like swords, maces, shields and stuff like that. He’s called Don Quixote by some people, but it seems that some have the opinion that an armor set will be able to protect him from vampires. True or false? We’ll see.
Landostarchaser – Landon “The Professor” Michaels – This man can be called a utopist. I mean, he’s a teacher in that place. He is the most educated person in the community and he tends to not believe in myths and legends, even when having Vampire Hunters around him, along with vampires. It’s up to him if he’ll start believing now.
The roles
Vampires: The bad guys of the story, the ones you have to find. It’s not as easy as finding the werewolves. The werewolves start with a specific number and that number can only decrease, when the vampires can spread their curse on the players. Speed and good thinking is required to find them. The good thing is that they don’t really know who the other vampires are. They’re working alone.
Villagers: Those are you. Powerless when alone, but when you get your thoughts straight, your focused attack can take someone down during the day rounds, with voting.
(Non-Player Character) The Vampire Hunter: This is me. Every night round I’ll randomly choose a player and I will protect him/her, with several tricks, depending on the dice roll. If you’re lucky, I may change the vampire back to human and you’ll have one thing that the vampire learnt while being a nightwalker. There are various versions of what may happen if I get the person right.
The gameplay
Some of you know it already, it’s based on the Werewolf game, but it’s a bit more complicated. There are the night rounds and the day rounds.
Night Rounds: During the night rounds, the chosen vampire will message me with the wanted target. There will be an attack. The result of it will be indicated by 4 dice rolls.
1st: The Vampire Hunter Roll I: This will show which player will be protected by the Vampire Hunter
2nd: The Vampire Choice Roll: This will determine which vampire will attack. Then the vampire messages me. If the vampire happens to choose the same person as the first dice roll, we go to dice roll #3, if not, #4.
3rd: The Vampire Hunter Roll II: This will show what will happen once they bump on each other. No matter what, things will get ugly.
4th: The attack roll: If the Vampire Hunter decides to drink beers that night instead of watching the right person, this dice roll is a matter of life and death, as it may kill or leave the target alive with minor damage.
Side Note – The blood gallons: Each time a vampire attacks successfully, he gains blood. If the target survives, he gets half a gallon but if the target dies, he gets a full gallon. When the vampire has a full gallon, his next attack is a turning. This means that you’ll have one more smelly vampire around you.
Day Rounds: A day has 24 hours, some of them illuminated by broad daylight. The vampires can’t attack then. You will see who died and you’ll vote to take a suspect out. The day rounds last more than the night rounds, obviously, especially when you’re stupid enough to NOT post or even look at the thread often. I can modkill you if don’t post once per day round, so be aware. Olivia gets irritated when people don’t talk. The vampires too.
I am sure that I explained everything. Story time. This round begins without any kills or voting.
All of the villagers were inside the Legless Parrot, the local saloon of the area, or to be honest, the only saloon of the area that tended to be full most of the time, even if the whiskey was as good as gas. It was raining the previous night and all of them remembered what happened. They do remember that woman that appeared out of the blue, with the wooden bars wrapped around her right leg in order to support her as she was walking. All of them remembered their words, but not all of them had the same opinion about them. For example, Brandon Lyons was really confident.
“Well, if they want, they can come. We’ll blast their brains on the wall.” He said and drew his gun. The Sheriff, Frederick Hunter, looked at him.
“I think that we have more serious issues to care about than legends. The rates of criminality aren’t the best around ‘ere. How do you explain that, Mr. Lyons?” He asked, while chewing tobacco. Brandon walked to him.
“I want to say that if you suspect me in any way, you’re wrong. I am just a businessman.” He said with a wide smile.
“We’ll see about that.” Frederick muttered. More words would be spoken at that moment, accompanied by punches, but loud steps were heard at the doorway. Everyone looked at the door. She was standing there, her hat shadowing her face, her clothing heavy even when it wasn’t really cold outside. Whoever looked at her weaponry would tremble, especially if that someone had the habit to suck blood during nighttime. Her two guns weren’t her only protection.
“Good morning, fellows. I am pleased to see that nothing happened after I visited you for the first time.” She said and walked to the counter, seeing Brandon and Frederick.
“I will ask you to leave aside your rivalries gentlemen. We have to do stuff here and random fights won’t really assist.” She said and then looked at everyone.
“I think that I explained everything last night. Do you have any questions?” She asked. She saw a hand getting raised.
“Ms. Bianchi, don’t mind me, but I feel that all this is a joke. I can’t really believe stuff if I don’t have proof about them. How can you convince me that vampires really exist, without flashing your fancy weaponry?” Landon asked.
“Professor, I am glad you asked. I would like to inform you though that you may have read many books, but you didn’t read Romanian history. There’s a truth behind every legend and there are many dark pages that prove it. I am not able to show you evidence right now, but if you wait for a while, you’ll find out on your own.” She said.
“Is that some kind of threat?” Luke asked, looking at her. He didn’t trust her a little bit. She looked at him.
“I’d like to name it “warning”. I am not the one that you should fear.” She said.
“We should stick together and God will protect us.” Father Devant said.
“Says the person that was dancing on the counter last night.” Josh answered.
“What are you talking about? I would never do that, it’s against the teachings of our church.” Father Devant said, clearly offended. The place got noisy, as people started making fun of him.
“I would like to say something more, if you’ll be quiet.” Olivia said, but they seemed to ignore her for the moment.
“Shut up! All of you!” Everyone looked at the door and saw her. Daniela Garcia entered the place. Silence prevailed.
“She’s here to give us a warning. Whether that may be true or false, we should listen to her. She travelled to here just for that. Show some respect, you scumbags.” She said angrily.
“This was helpful. Ok, what I wanted to say is to sleep with one eye open. I’ll be around too, but I am just one person and I can’t really walk well either. Whatever you may need, I’ll be available. I live at the last house of the village. Thanks for giving me shelter. I’ll pay it back to you.” Olivia said. Daniela smiled.
“We appreciate your presence here. You may go now and have some rest. Simon, if you don’t mind, get her a basket of goods, so that her and her nephew will have something to eat today.” She said. Simon got up and nodded his head with a smile.
“I will surely do it, Ms. Garcia.” He said and bowed afterwards. Olivia looked at him and their eyes met for a moment.
“I’ll be waiting for you. Let’s go Devin.” She said and walked to the door, followed by the guy that was standing there all the time, unnoticed by the rest.
“Olivia, shouldn’t we find our suspects yet?” He asked her. She shook her head.
“We can’t suspect anyone yet. We don’t have a single clue.”
The roles will be sent right now to everyone. You can't show your PM to anyone. Capiche? Let's roll.
