Sometimes it isn't even possible. You don't need more than maybe ttwenty centimetres, and a bike is completely useless. And most of the small roads and lanes just for bicycles and pedestrians are completely covered in snow, depending on their location. The ice doesn't help either. I can no longer count how many times I have told myself: "Oh yeah, I can totally make a sharp turn on this slippery surface!" ... Only to prove myself wrong.

I used to love snow. We hardly ever got it here in Ireland though. When I was a kid I can only remember one time when the snow was over about an inch, and even light snowfall only happened every 3 years or so. Any time I was in another country with snow I was all: DUDE THIS IS THE BEST THING IN THE FRIKKIN WORLD EVAR!!
Then came Winter of '08. *shudder*. The last three winters it's snowed really heavily (well, heavily for here, like 9 inches or so where I am, deeper in some places). Don't get me wrong, it's really pretty, it's fun to play in, but here, when it snows, the whole goddamn country grinds to a halt. Seriously, shops close early, colleges close, people can't park at work, people can't drive up hills, roads turn into car parks. Only a handfull of roads get grit put down on them, forget about side roads or footpaths being in any way traversable. Public transport is severely disrupted, so nobody can get anywhere. Everything just stops.
So no, I don't like snow.
Also, it's cold. Me no likey cold.
