There should be a Memorable quotes thingy on the landing page!!!plus this should be in it! *vote up* Hello Pogotribe. Look at your thread, now back at mine, now back to yours, NOW BACK TO MINE. Sadly, your thread isn't mine, but if you switch the topic instead of keeping the original, it could end up like mine. Look down, back to me, where are you? You're in a forum section, WITH THE THREAD YOUR THREAD COULD BE LIKE! What's in your hand, back to me, I have it, it's keyboard you can use to go off topic - look again, THE KEYBOARD IS NOW DIAMONDS! Anything is possible when you talk about Christine O'Donnell and not Dan and Dannerz. I'm on a sheep.

And a random quote every time you visit!
That'd be genius.

There's a problem with the landing page.
Before it was implemented, southpoleofthemoon.com/index.php was the Archive main page, but now it points to the landing page. Now, when you click "Archive", or you log in to the old forum, you get to the landing page.
Renaming the landing page to something like "home.php" should do the trick.

I think moving the phpbb installation to the subfolder would give better results, in spite of being a little harder to do. That way, the landing page is on index.php (which is probably set by apache to be the page to see when someone types southpoleofthemoon.com on their browser) and the phpbb install would be on southpoleofthemoon.com/archive It is, not only cleaner, as it also gives a clearer distinction, for both normal users as well as admins and maintainers, of the structure of the site (for users as all old forum info would be on /archive and for maintainers because all files regarding phpbb would be contained on the folder /archive).

That'd be a better solution.

Just posting to say the links on the landing page are getting a little outdated. I propose you check the most recent projects and debates and add them on the top of the older ones on the xml files (do not replace the old ones).
(I am reminding the admins of this because it is possible to see certain debate topics being revived by the links provided on the front page, because people don't know the thread is old. Although reviving an old discussion is good, it is not useful if the people simply post "I agree" because they aren't aware the thread is old).
