Hey guys, I'm trying to create a Let's Play series on my Youtube channel, but I need some help with some software. I need a good video capturing software that can record videos of at least 10 minutes. It has to be a reasonable price, however, so it may be awesome, but if it costs 300 dollars, I can't buy it. I also need a good video editing software, because Windows Movie Maker is a joke. Again, it needs to be good quality, but still within a reasonable price range. Hope you guys can offer me some help!
(Also, if anything you find is free, that would be even better!)
Thanks!

You could download an unregistered Hypercam, that'll work for your needs. As for editing software, I can't help you(I have the same problem).

I'm considering saving up my christmas money in order to buy fraps, so that might work, but thanks for the suggestion!

You could try WeGame or Gamecam instead of fraps.
As for the editing, I have no idea.

Isn't WeGame only uploaded directly to the WeGame website?
Also, I'd like something that would allow me to record the video and the audio at the same time, and then have them saved as one. I think there's something like that out there...

I've posted in another thread on this...
If you don't have the money then go ahead and use it for free. Once this makes the money for you; you can repay them.
Senario 1: I make top flash games, selling them for loads at one time... Once I have made enough money I would buy flash, but I wouldn't have managed that if I didn't have the other copy first.
Adobe are happy for another sale... I'm happy for profits...
All parties are pleased.

lol what could u possibly want to do in a lets play that wmm doesnt allow u to do? I have windows 7, and Movie Maker doesn't come standard with this operating system. So, I downloaded Windows Live Movie Maker, only to find that it's not nearly as good as the old one.

I give up. Fraps is gay, Wegame doesn't work, and I can't get audio on any of them.

use Sean's method and gain CamTasia
you're not going to get any good programs for less than $300, guaranteed
same for editing programs (though CamTasia is also an editor)
