I wouldn't go as far as to say it's a fail just because you're getting bored with it. All that means is that you're just bored with it. The project is to see if Dan's life is better directed by the masses than himself alone.

The project is to see if Dan's life is better directed by the masses than himself alone. The problem is that we are not able to direct his life because he isn't picking tasks that have any affect on his life besides how he can entertain himself during the day, at least recently.

High expectations will bring you down.
Just sit back and allow Dan 3.0 to develop. I'm sure he is working very hard to entertain his viewers, even if it doesn't always show. Do you think you could do better?

High expectations will bring you down. And what did he feed us and made us think when he was building the project? I'll sit back and watch while wishing him the best.

High expectations will bring you down. And what did he feed us and made us think when he was building the project? True that. He kinda brought the disappointment onto himself. Also, we were supposed to be able to control Dan's life, right? Why don't we get to decide what he does during the holidays? If he can put the whole shebang on hold whenever he feels like it, then... wtf.

Many people have had this sentiment. Many people have pointed out the fact that many people have had this sentiment. Repetition.

I can't say who on this thread is pointlessly complaining and who is just voicing his or her thoughts, but I would like to propose some action to everyone. At the beginning of D3P0 (actually, just before the beginning) Dan suggested that people on SPOTM form coalitions to vote for various tasks. I know there aren't many people left on the moon, but if everyone joined a single coalition, we could easily vote a task up to the #2 spot (at the moment, at least; the #1 most popular task is Jonny Paula's concert one, and #2 has 18/18 votes for it). We would be the most powerful force on the decision engine, other than (semi-)popular YouTubers like Jonny Paula and Mickeleh. We would be able to suggest that Dan do something big or entertaining, and he wouldn't be able to refuse a task that had been so highly rated so quickly (especially since at least one of the decision engine's admins is a SPOTM admin as well). We don't have to sit around and complain about any problems we have with D3P0, but we also don't have to just go to the decision engine and give our single votes to some tasks. We can choose an even more active solution, and take control of the project the way we're supposed to.
So, I guess someone should make a new thread about this if they agree with me; I'll do it if nobody else does, but it would be cool to see that someone else is with me first.

I just posted the above post and then I looked back at a list of threads relating to D3P0 and I saw that there's already one that's almost exactly like the one I suggested. pogotribe.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=danproject&action=display&thread=5769I say "almost exactly" because it's really a coalition for SPOTM, although it says that it's for anything non-SPOTM-related that the coalition can agree upon. Basically, though, it's the same thing. I don't want to have two separate coalitions that are supposed to be about unifying SPOTM, as that would be ironically counterproductive, so if you were going to do what I just suggested in the last post, just join the one above.
