Breaking bones sucks. I hate it. I broke my arm once. I had to go through my birthday with it. . I hope you have a speedy recovery!

I've never broken a bone, so I don't know how it is, but I'm sure I'd be super stressed about it. I hope you recover soon!

Getting better I can do. Getting better quickly on the other hand....
See, that's the thing with compound breaks - they take forever to heal. I'll be in a full cast for a month and a half minimum - and who knows how long I'll be in a partial, or a brace after that.
Either way, thanks guys

I'm curious too. Although you can pretty much deduce what happened with this: A series of complicated happenings involving: -outside -black ice -my parents' front steps, which are made of stone -slipping -falling -a weird position which led me to breaking my fall, after slipping on a patch of black ice, on the front steps

How it happened is quite simple really.
Slipped on some black ice in front of my parent's house, my arm was in a weird position, which broke my fall, with my wrist, on steps made of stone.
As for the extent of the break, well, the wrist itself is just a mess of joints and muscles, really. They're hard to break, but they can certainly fracture, I've fractured my scaphoid and capitate carpal bones (basically my palm) - first and fifth metacarpal bones (thumb and pinky), and the head of both my radius and ulna are broken all on my right hand - which is my dominant hand. Fortunately, my thumb and pinky will heal enough that I'll be able to properly do chem labs by Jan 10 - but otherwise, I'm stuck with limited ability.
Fortunately, I'm partially ambidextrous - so I'll adapt

Drink tea! (Or cocoa..) I don't think it helps the restructuring of the bone, but it makes you feel much better.

I dislocated my ankle 4 years ago. That took 3 months to heal fully, much longer than a broken bone, surprisingly. I've also broken a leg, long time ago though, I don't even remember it. It's interesting that something can be so excruciatingly painful one moment and then... poof, you're healed the next. I hope the recovery process isn't too burdensome, that's the worst part about breaking bones...

Get well soon Aust. I've broken many bones in my life, some of them weren't even mine. (jkjkjkjk) I know how you feel. I remember when I broke my leg in two different parts. So yeah. Best wishes.

I've only broken my nose, once, and to repair it they had to put something inside of it...it wasn't nice, but it wasn't that long either. Anyways, I hope the recovering process isn't too annoying and get well, Aüst!
