Er... I don't really do New Year's Resolutions, I just start resolutions throughout the year as I think of them, or when I say "enough's enough!" That being said, I'm already working on procrastinating less, and have been since August of last year. I should also be getting back to the gym this week after my two week absence... *refrains from making procrastination joke*

To be perfectly honest, I don't really believe in resolutions for the sake of the new year because it negates our nature. HOWEVER, it does at the very least provide a a chronological milestone - And if that helps people follow through on positive changes then all the power to 'em.
I've been going to the gym regularly for 4 months now. It's going to be interesting to see the sudden spike in the number of people at the gym for..Oh I would probably guess...The next month...Followed by an exact decrease in said customer population!

My resolution was to spend 100 of the next 365 (now 361) days living in different people's shoes. The rules of the resolution are that a day of living in someone's shoes counts if I spend 24 hours living with analogous activities to someone who lives a different lifestyle than me. This can involve working for a certain amount of time, eating on a certain diet, etc. The days need not be consecutive. The life need not be 1 persons, it can change. If it does change though, I cannot return to the same person until I have lived in 3 other peoples shoes. So if I spend 3 days in person A's shoes, and then decide to spend 5 days in person B's shoes, I cannot return to A until I have lived in C and D's shoes.
My reasoning for doing this, is that I believe people complain about their lives too much. I believe that I'm included in these people, and in order to appreciate my life more I decided to see what it's like living other peoples life. As the goal is to appreciate my life more, the people I will be mirroring, are those I do not consider lucky. The lives I will copy will not be lives that I envy, but lives that I think are less fortunate than mine. In order to do this, I will be relying on a lot of help from my friends, as I will be asking them to mimick the treatment of the person I'm mimicking. The end goal is to end the year with a fond appreciation for my life and my friends, and to learn about other people in this world and what they might desire. I know how I live my life, and I know that I say "I wish I had ...." or "Wouldn't it be nice if ...." This experiment will help me see those parts of my life that others see and say "Wouldn't it be nice if I had that"
