"Well, assuming that I am travelling all the time, yessss, I am single." Laurie said with a smile, being as loud as Royan, before serving everyone else that wanted something.

OOC: seeing as I've lost family in the Israel/Palestine conflict, I'm not going to RP a recounting of it - so let's just pretend I did, and it was very fascinating, mmkay?

You've got to be making that up Teach. Hmm (drowning his second rum and coke) if it weren't so late, I'd ask for another story. I've got to debate hitting the hay soon, or staying here and having another one.
OOC: Sooooo, when's the vampire attacking?

NIGHT 1 The sun was setting on the horizon, as the people gathered on the upper deck could see. All around there was nothing but water, and another ship far in the distance. The ship had been blasting forward for at least three hours now, and its passengers had had time to get to know each other. There was a shudder as the ship suddenly stopped. The captain came in a few minutes later. “Alright, we’re anchored. Is everybody here?” There was some whispering and looking around. “Mike is in his cabin. He was suffering from a massive headache.” Doctor Gary Lewis said. “I checked on him about 10 minutes ago, and he was fine. Should be over by tomorrow” The captain nodded “What a shame he’ll miss the party.” He looked at Laurie “I believe you’ve done the arrangements Laurie?” She nodded and looked at Miss Lucks “Vicky here has some records with her, and I’ve already linked up the player to the speakers.” She pointed in the corner where the player was sitting “Oh, and I’m ready if anybody wants any drinks or something small to eat.” The captain nodded and looked at the crowd “Well, let’s get this party started then.” The sky was dark as the tunes of Chuck Berry and Buddy Holly filled the room. There was dancing and drinking and a lot of laughing, as the guests were enjoying their selves more than they fought was possible. Finally, after nearly two hours the captain asked the music to be turned down and everybody to listen. Laurie dimmed the lights. “I believe you would like to know why you are here?” There was nodding and exciting whispering. “Well, I might tell you know, but I think I need another glass of whiskey before that. Laurie if you please.” Everybody laughed as Laurie poured the yellowish liquid into her grandfather’s glass. “Let me tell you about an incident that happened 60 years ago exactly, on this exact week” There was a lot of confused and surprised faces as the captain told his story, when he finally finished, Toby Brown started chuckling. “Vampires? Good one Cap’n. What next, werewolves? “ Landon showed him an irritated face. “Well, if story time’s over, I’m off to bed” “That was no story Mr. Brown.” He stopped. He looked at the speaker. “Everything I just told you is as true as water.” “Not to be unpolite, but I’m finding your story to be pretty hard to believe too, Captain.” Fred Dye noted. “Real or not” Vicky Lucks spoke in between “What does this have to do with us?” the Captain smiled “You are all relatives of those people I knew back then, when the incident happened.” You could almost hear the surprise of the passengers. There was a long silence as the Captain sipped some whiskey from his glass with a poker face. He observed as the news sank in to the guests. There was a long silence, but at last, Gary Lewis spoke out “B-but, if that’s true, why why’ve not heard of these stories from OUR grandparents or great-grandparents?” The captain chuckled. “Well, I supposed they wouldn’t have been believed, just like you didn’t believe me.” The captain took another sip of whiskey. “They possibly could’ve been called ‘crazy’ or ‘lunatic’”. “I’m still finding it hard to believe. Y’know. That vampires exist” Xavier said. “Oh, they’re real. They’ve coexisted with man since… since the early times. They just are way too good at hiding themselves to have been found by the public. They are masters of camouflage, because they look and act exactly like the person that was turned into one. There aren’t that many vampires in the world, but their numbers are increasing, and we might have a problem by the 21st century, if we don’t wipe them out by then.” A few people gasped. Others were still not convinced. “W-w-what could happen?” Miss Lucks asked. The captain sighed “They could and will wipe us all out.” The captain frowned. “There is however, a way to turn a vampire back to its previous form.” “What? What is it?!” Alan shouted. He was clearly getting scared. He had never been the toughest of people. “Nobody knows.” “Well how do they know a cure exists then?” The captain had another sip from the glass. “It was told of in the writings of the Egyptian Depramus. And the Greek Lesbemus. And a few others, but none of these people wrote down the cure, or at least, nobody has found it yet.” “This is where you come in. I invited you on this trip to educate you about these creatures. You HAD to know this. It is VITAL that you spread the word. But try not to act insane” “But why invite us on a cruise? Why not just speak to people on the street? Or invite us to a café?” Zach Smith asked. “I would be called insane immediately. And besides, here you have nowhere to run. You HAD to listen. And I hope all of you will believe me.” The captain paused. “Also, there is a risk in this method. If one of you was a vampire, it wouldn’t be that hard to take us all out.” “Excuse me” Toby Brown spoke “But what exactly CAN a vampire do?” “Well, if you would’ve read book #24 of my ‘Werewolf Chronicles” –series ‘Werewolf vs. Vampire’ you would know that vampires can suck blood and turn you into mindless followers. They can also turn into bats, and are easily recognizable due to their large fangs.” Landon Martin spoke. “It’s also a pretty good read, I think you could enjoy it. Only 25.95$” The captain chuckled “Now’s not the time for advertising, Mr. Martin. And you’re only half right. "Vampires do suck blood, but the rest is just gibberish. They look EXCACTLY like they’re former selves, except during feeding when they’re fangs come out. They can, want to, need to, and will suck on your blood when they get the chance. They live on blood. They do eat, but only to not compromise their selves. Vampires as they feed, sometimes feed too much and accidentally might kill the person they’re feeding. Also, once they have gathered enough blood, they can turn another person into a vampire.” The crowd was quiet. A few of them were taking it still as a joke, but most of them were already believing the captains words. The captain gulped down the last of his whiskey. He checked the clock. “Oh, would you look at the time.” He rose up “Well, it’s been a lovely evening, I hope all of you feel a little more educated about the secrets of the world.” He smiled “But I think it’s time to go to sleep. We will continue our journey tomorrow.” He was about to leave when Alan shouted from behind him “But Captain! What if…in theory… one of us, like, was a vampire?” The captain turned round. “Well in that case, Mr. Torres. We would know that by tomorrow.” Nobody slept well that night, except for Mike who was oblivious to the captain’s words. Everybody had their brain buzzing with thoughts. Some more sinister than the others. THE NEXT MORNING Laurie Reed woke up to a scream. She immediately jumped out of bed, and ran to where it had come from. The kitchen! The bright morning sun was flowing from the windows as the boat rocked under Laurie’s feet. The hallway wasn’t very wide, if someone opened their cabin door in front of her, she would crash into it. Talking about that, someone did. CRASH. THUMP. “HOLY FUCKING HELL WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!!!” “Sorry Miss Reed, I didn’t know you were there!” Royan apologized. “No offense Royan, but SHIRT seems to happen to you a lot!!” She held her head. Royan helped her up, and she stood there for a second. Then she remembered where she was headed to and started running again. “Where are you going to?” “Didn’t you hear that scream?” Royan looked around and decided to follow Laurie. They reached the kitchen. “My god...” Laurie whispered. “Who …what...what did this?” “TURNS OUT YOU WERE RIGHT, CAPTAIN” The red writing stood on the wall, mocking him.”I-is that blood?” Alan asked, trembling. They were all gathered in the kitchen observing the text. The captain chuckled. “It seems we do have a vampire on the ship after all. There’s no body, so actually two now, and they want to play with us.” “How the HELL is that funny to you?” Xavier asked. “And what do you mean playing with us?” the captain stopped smiling “Well, if they didn’t want to play with us, they wouldn’t have let themselves be known. They would’ve just killed or turned us one by one. But they clearly want to have fun, which is good for us” “Well, what do we do now?” asked Vicky, surprisingly calmly. “We vote.” There was a moment of silence, as everybody feared the answer to the question they wanted to ask. At last, August spoke. “For what?”The captain hated to say it. “Life.” The passengers went pale. “It’s the only way. Every day, we vote for one person that gets killed, until we find the vam-” “THIS IS LUDICROUS!” Fred Dye shouted suddenly. “WE DON’T EVEN KNOW THESE VAMPIRES EXIST, AND NOW WE ARE SUPPOSED TO KILL SOMEOBODY? DOESN’T THAT SEEM A BIT....INSANE?” “Calm down Mr. Dye.” “HOW CAN I CALM DOWN WHEN I’M ABOUT TO GET KILLED BY SOME INSANE CAPTAIN BECAUSE HE BELIEVES SOME FAIRYTALE MONSTER IS ON THE SHIP? I WANT OFF THE SHIP NOW!” “We’re at least 100 kilometers from the nearest shore. You can swim if you want. This is a great opportunity to take out the vampire and not let it get back into the world, where it can do more harm. Isn’t the loss of 12 lives better than the loss of 1000?” Fred was breathing heavily. He sat down. “B-but…I-I…” “It’s alright, you’re in shock.” The captain looked at the rest of the passengers. “Now, I need you to start thinking of who you’re going to vote. Who seems suspicious? What have you seen that makes you feel someone could be a vampire? We will gather in the top room at 7 pm. I trust you will have your votes ready by then” The captain looked at Laurie and his face turned from serious to confused “Laurie..you seem to have a bruise on your forehead. What happened” Laurie showed an irritated face “Don’t ask…” The captain stood there for a moment when finally moving towards the door. “I’ll see you at seven. Now if you don’t mind I will go tell Mike everything” “Captain! Wait!” It was Vicky. “You never did tell us your name.” “My name?” The captain smiled. “Why, my name is Devin Bianchi.” END OF NIGHT 1;D So, like, sorry for the long story, but I sorta just wanted to tell everything. No more stories as long as this PROMISE! ('cept, maybe the final one). I'll give you a minute to let the story sink in. ANYWAY. LYNCH TIME!Nancy R. OOC: Well, from what I read, Jackson is cleared from Vamp 1, because the “TURNS OUT YOU WERE RIGHT, CAPTAIN” line points at someone who was in the party. So, for now, Jackson is half-cleared for me. We have some more people though, don't we? I will clear myself with evidence. I wasn't there. I heard the scream and ran to there, so, you can see it on your own. Let's go to the IC posting.
IC: Laurie looked at everyone before taking a sip from her "breakfast bourbon". "So, we have two vampires here now and yes, one of them was in the party last night. I doubt that it is Mr. Martin, because he doesn't know SHIRT about vampires, according to my grandfather. I can say that I suspect suspicious behaviour by some of you though. Miss Lucks, have you met vampires before? I guess that you did, because you face this situation in a very calm manner. Maybe that vampire bit you as well? Also, Royan, did we go to explore so early? How come and you appeared in my route? Only the kitchen is there. What's there for you and more enough... Are you deaf? How could you not hear the scream? I am sure that everyone aboard heard it. Also, Fred, shut up. Your behaviour reminds me of a man, a teacher that didn't believe in such creatures... In the end, he died in the hands of one of them. True story. I grew up with those. Xavier, I don't suspect you... Yet. Toby, you're clear for me for now as well, unless I find something against you. Well, enough with the blabbering, I have to point at someone and I hope that I won't be proved wrong." She said and raised her finger, pointing at... Royan.

I was coming out of my cabin, it's the morning after all, I do have to leave. It obviously wasn't me, for it was I would not have been leaving my cabin, but rather entering it as you came past.
Also, I did hear the scream, I was just wondering where you were off to. As I am a guest on this ship, I don't know the layout as well as you and did not realize where the scream came from.
OOC: If I were the vampire, I would have gone for either Nancy or Nor first, as they are the second most successful vampires that have played in previous games (I mean, Nancy was a vampire the entire game last game and only vichilux caught it).
Also, I'm having to notice that Kevak definitely has it out for me...why would the author of a game point to a vampire with so many big clues right off the bat? They must not be clues but rather a diversion so that Kevak can better develop the characters through stories and give a scape goat early on.
IC: Besides, I'm a quiet individual usually - very simple. If I were a vampire - would I have called my attention to it by writing THAT *pointing at the blood letters on the wall* there as a taunt? I doubt it. We're looking for someone who is cocky and arrogant, not me. I think I know of a very cocky person. He has my vote. Landon Martin.

We offered various museums the casket, but nobody was interested - so we sold it to a very eccentric collector - the money he paid us was ridiculous, but he wouldn't pay a penny less - so we accepted a very large amount of money "Let's think about this a second. The Professor - no blame to you, I would do the same to get rid of it - sold that casket to a rich and eccentric collector for a lot of money. Who do we know here who was a lot of money and is eccentric in some way? Toby. Mister clean was a little late to our small party here wasn't he? In fact, he isn't even here, now is he? And his obsession with cleaning. A good excuse to get rid of the evidence: the blood on his hands. I say we stake him like Bella shoulda staked Edward. And may God forgive me if I'm wrong." Nancy R. OOC: Uhm, excuse me, but the clues are in the stories, not in everything everyone else says. Aust may be a vampire, but we cannot take his words as clues. He was just roleplaying, just so you know.

OOC: WOAH WAS ANYONE ELSE BLOWN AWAY WITH THAT PLOT TWIST AT THE END?!?
IC: Well, as I see it, Mike, Royan and Laurie are innocent. Mike as he wasn't there to hear the story, and Royan and Laurie cause they have an alibi. I saw we make some kinda list thingy on a chalk board or something (google docs). I'm too lazy to do this so if someone else would like to do it

OOC: Xan, I didn't sell the casket to Tony Also, Mind = Blown
IC: I don't really have anything to add. But I warn you - your decision will not be made lightly, if we're right, then there's no harm, but if we're wrong, then we've committed murder.
I'm old enough to have seen death all around me in World War 2 - but have any of you really seen death?
Come to think of it - what the hell is a vampire doing at sea? Isn't water one of their weaknesses?
