Not really much of a loophole as much as a practical suggestion, but: Wear braces on every load bearing joint. That is ankles, knees, back - And see if you can find any kind of special shock absorbing orthotics. I'm willing to bet a pretty penny that this would make a significant difference in your endurance.

G'day Everyone, I busted out the calculator and crunched some numbers on the record attempt. I'm afraid that the result is rather scary. The current record is 182,152 consecutive bounces. If Dan bounces 100 times a minute (a rough guess) that means that he will have to be on the stick for 1862 minutes or just over 31 hours!! On the plus side, he will have 31 five minute brakes which will give him a total of 155 minutes of break. No matter how you look at it, his attempt is going to take up a large part of two days. I would suggest that Dan is going to have to have at least 3 months to get himself into shape. If he started training seriously tomorrow, he might be in shape for the suggested dates in early July. A lot will depend on how good Dan's fitness is currently and how exhausting it is to bounce for that long. Power to the pogotribe

1. I agree with a live stream, with the length of the attempt all the time zones could watch it and not have to be up at 4AM to watch it.( but because i want to see it and not have to fly to the US).
2. Not knowing hoe fit Dan currently is like rodneygeorgez pointed out i think that Dan should do a practice attempt to gauge his fitness and work out the date of the real attempt from that.

What if he falls down? Does that mean he has to start all over again?

You should buy a brand new top of the range pogostick and make it's foot( or whatever you call the thing that hits the ground) wider plus you may want to do some warm ups and take lots of water also have some painkillers to stop your arms and legs hurting so much.

One things you should know is that you may pogo for 2 hours and get 10 minutes, 3 hours and get 15, and so on. you can let them accumulate into larger breaks. so be sure to do that.

and by that point you have banked 10 breaks You can't bank the breaks. Thats not true, the guy who broke the bowling world record did exactly that.

If you can really BANK breaks, then... I suggest you just go for as long as possible without a break, and then when it gets too much, take a break of however many minutes you've accumulated. Hopefully that should be enough to keep you going for a while until your next break.
Also, I suggest you start training now. It's never too early. Basically, just see how long you can spend on a pogo stick until you reach an hour. Then just do an hour a day. Maybe once a week through in a 3 or so hour session.

actually, I don't believe it ever said anything about you not being able to modify the pogostick.

People saying he should save up breaks: 5. A jumper may not rest for more than five minutes at a time. Nope, he can't. It's right there in the rules. Doesn't matter what some bowling dude did.

You should do it when the next Pogopalooza is on, I'm sure they'd love to have you.

It should be the penultimate episode.. The last one should be a concert, or a clip show..

Dan, we can't plan everything for you.
If you haven't noticed, we aren't in actual control of your life, so we can't set an arbitrary date or have you start a training regime without your input.

^that means that at least you have to say "ok" or something before we move on to make more concrete decisions.

Do this at vidcon (or before or after but just be there so more people can watch and it's symbolic to when you announced D3P0)
