I'm new here at the SPOTM, and to be honest, one of the things that made me google this forum up the other day, was because I remembered Dan and his talk about Triads and The South Pool of the Moon, and how everyone could come join. For me, it sounded like a lot of fun. A chance to meet new friends and to do some fun projects.
Of course, I can read now that everything didn't go so well with the triads, but I think that the idea was good. I wouldn't mind meeting new friends and having some fun - which is the things I was picturing in my mind, that I would gain from something like that.
Keywords: - new friends - social - fun
In other words, something like this shouldn't be too forced; that would suck the fun out of it.
I actually like the idea of a structure in a group like this. In the Advertising industri, the group working on a project is divided into different roles. The leader. The writer. The Art Director and the Planner. They're all needed, and setting a specific role makes it easier to know who does what.
There's only one issue I have, that's screaming from the back of my head: Great, this is going to be social and all, but what kind of project are we doing?
Without a project that everyone is driven by; there's no point. Everyone will just shrug the whole project away, if they don't have enough interest in it.
Here's where I think it's a good idea to make friendly contests, like mentioned earlier. To set a couple of teams up agains each other to achieve something.
...but what are they achieving? What is the great project about?
Thats my greatest concern.
But else than that, I think this would be fun. I'm all new here. I know no one here. I wouldn't mind some kind of system like this to get me integrated to the forum. :')

i disliked the ideas of triads, yet I enjoy the idea of pairs with no previous interaction working together for a greater cause. Im one sad man.
