Waaaaaaait! I think it will actually be easier to pick what we want to keep, save it, and blank the entire wiki.

@aust: I upgraded your wiki account, so you should now be able to delete pages and block users. For anyone who is an admin, and wants to know how to do this, it's under Toolbox > Special Pages > Users and rights > User rights management. From there, it's pretty straightforward. Also, here is a full list of all of the pages, apparently. I guess the users rights thingy is something for people who are/used to be admins @ the forums since I can't do it but I can delete stuff/ban people.

Nancy, I upgraded you to a wiki admin as well. It never hurts to have another person on board with this who is able to delete pages. =) We may need to organize a team who is just working on edits, or otherwise make a list of pages that need updating or editing, so that anyone working on this wiki clean-up project can work on it. Waaaaaaait! I think it will actually be easier to pick what we want to keep, save it, and blank the entire wiki. Eh... I feel like that's an extra, unnecessary step, personally. It's easier to delete a page than it is to save a bunch of pages, delete everything, then create those pages anew. Unless "protecting" a page is the same as "saving" it, and I don't fully know how to do things on the wiki. Haha! @aust: I upgraded your wiki account, so you should now be able to delete pages and block users. You have to be more than just a wiki admin to add people to different user groups. My bad. (This is according to the List of Group Rights)

Time to do stuff in there. HERE GOES! Thanks Erin. It's time to delete-delete stuff in there.
EDIT: Btw, I think that some people use it to just advertise their channels in there and I don't know if I should keep those or delete them. I think that we should make some wiki rules.

I agree:
* Rules for stuff @ wiki * What needs to be editted, deleted, etc. * Teams?
EDIT: we might wanna use templates or something to let the others know that this page has been viewed by one of us and some symbols indicating:
* this page needs editting but can stay * (just delete the pages that aren't needed anymore?) * this page is OK
EDIT2: Ideas just keep on coming: We could consider making a Googledoc and just lists the things we remark etc. (plus use it to ask the other 'Wikiadmins' whether a page should go or stay etc.)

I like the EDIT idea. Seems to be easy.

I would like to help with the upkeep of the wiki. I won't be able to add much (since i'm not a knowledgable person.) but i could keep an eye on the templates "deletion" and "NOOBPAGES" (the latter really needing a rename to something like "mod request")

I remember when the wiki was cooler than the forum Me too... Ah, good times.

As it stands, I've just been doin' my own thing, and deleting stuff/blocking spammers as I go.
A more organized set-up may not make things go faster - but it'll allow non-admins/mods/those without deleting powers to help out as well.
I also agree with updating the rules, and condencing things into fewer pages.
Not sure about pages to plug user's websites - I think that plugs should be kept on the user's page, rather then as a seperate page. For example - it Craig Benzine was a SPOTMer, his channel shouldn't have it's own page, and instead be plugged on his own page.

Well, I guess that you mean that we should spread into many pages for one person. I agree with that. Even if articles may be huge, I think that we have to merge them. Per esempio. Let's say that there's an article about the channel and an article about the person that runs that channel. Merge, merge, effing merge.

Yesterday evening i went and flagged a few pages for deletion, most of these came from the broken redirect special page.

I could help with daily upkeep/copy editing/fact checking. I think that the wiki is a really important part of SPOTM, and that it is our coolest project to date. Also, could my wiki account be admin'd? I've got the same username there as I do here. (plainwhitepaper)

I would like to congratulate everyone who's working on the wiki. Over 120 articles deleted, good job.

What should we do about inactive user pages?
In other news, I just flagged like 30 pages as spam.

Wiki is down for now. Maybe I should stay away from it, the chicken suit creates static that makes it break down.
