So, I have a twitter account. It's about Portal-y stuff.. You know.. Aperture Science? lol. It's @aperturescipr
Anyway, Microsoft recently started an initiative to ween people off of IE6. I am STEPPING FURTHER..
Just tweeted a few hours ago:
Microsoft is pushing you to stop using #IE6. We're stepping even further. Stop using #IE in general. RT, and use the hashtag #DontUseIE
So yeahhh. ^^ Spread it!

Is there any reason for this? People have preferences in browsers and for whatever reason, some people like using IE (its stupid i know but w/e) it would be like someone saying #DontUseChrome to me Just sayin'

Yeah, except for how IE is actually bad, and Chrome isn't.

I agree with Vorrik.
Also, IE is not exactly my favorite browser, and when I see someone using it I try to talk them about the usefulness of other browsers, but in the end I understand it's all a thing of taste and commodity. If someone is used to a browser and feels comfortable using whatever, then good for that person.

I'm not sure of what you mean by that '-' You mean because they are saying to people they should stop using IE6? Well, then yeah, I guess they are doing something like you. The thing is though, it is their browser, and... wait, I remember this thing about IE6, but wasn't this like a hell of a long time ago?... Oh well. As I was saying: And the thing is, even Microsoft knows and acknowledges that IE6 is obsolete. It is not secure and websites are stopping to support it. So it is a good thing they are doing this and it helps their users to move on and upgrade. As I said, in the end it's all about taste and commodity, and IE6, like it or not, will not be comfortable when you can do absolutely nothing with it.
