of my new EVO 3D
soliek i had been using the droid x2 with pageplus which is a verizon prepaid provider, but they only offer 100 MB a month web. as anyone who uses a smartphone knows 100 MB a month isnt enough...not even close. you use that in one day with a smartphone. so i went to Best Buy and exchanged it.
*STORY TIME*
soliek i had rooted the droid...and if you root your phone you void the warranty...so im standing in line and i realize that my phone is rooted...luckily the app i used to root my phone (gingerbreak) allows you to unroot your phone in less than a minute. so superuser was gone. so i hand teh phone in, the woman checks it, doesnt see superuser there, and lets me proceed with the exchange. her co-worker walks over and takes a look and sees a few apps that can only be installed on a rooted phone. so hes telling me that the exchange cant happen...i pretended i have no idea what hes talking about.
so he brings it over to geek squad...and i think im done for because if those guys are half as good as they should be theyll know the phone was rooted. terminal emulator was still there...rom manager was there...screenshot was there...all root apps...whatever. soliek apparently the geek squad guy they went to was under the misconception that once rooted a phone could not be unrooted so they let me exchange it
so i wanted unlimited web but i didnt want a plan with a carrier because those are expensive, so i went with boost mobile and got the galaxy prevail. when i got home i realized the phone was utter crap...no flash...no netflix...what the fuck was the point of unlimited data?! so yesterday i went back and returned THAT one and now im on sprint with unlimited data and the EVO 3D
and now you know....the REST...of the story (anyone know where thats from...? anyone...?)
