Seriously though this thread has characters from the first season, flashbacks, the works. and now Cort. :-) Hope drew me in, hopelessness forced me away. I'm exceedingly pleased for those that stayed and made something of the place. I'm too old and too busy for fairy tales any longer, and kids and their antics annoy me too much. The price paid for being grandpa. I keep in touch with quite a few via skype, but yea, miss you too mashuga. |

Let's be everything! no you dont understand its just a saying i didnt mean the gods actually eat steaks imagine theres an old man who really like football and to explain why he likes football he says "football is the sport of the kings" now imagine instead of an old man there is me, instead of football there is steak, instead of sport there is food and instead of kings there is gods it means that i like steak a lot so i said "steak is the food of the gods" now you understand yes alex?? |

Im glad he did it, and i dont think people should act so surprised. We all knew this is how he felt, and personally, its about time he did say it so maybe we could start over if we still have passion. I have a feeling that this website will haunt him on occasions, so why not just make a new one for his sake and all of ours who still care. I think a fresh start with people who have good ideas to get people motivated is in order. Goodbye Dan, good luck with your great new show. P.S. The chess game wasnt over, but dont take offense to the people who are angry, its an honest mistake that can easily be fixed  Oh and why is my name yellow? Damn i feel like a n00b again. |

So uh.. last night I went bowling with a couple fo friends and after a while I realised, who was in the next lane other than two girls from my old seconday (high) school, one of whom was the reason I left. And has turned into a barbie doll. Long story. But anyway, just before she was leaving she came over to me and went "I know it's 4 years late, but I'm sorry for everything. I know it doesn't mean anything now but I'm saying it anyway". Then she fucked off without even letting me respond.
It kinda made me realise why I was so pissed off after Dan's video. I summed it up in a Facebook post: ""I know it's X years too late, but I'm sorry" means absolutely nothing. If you were really sorry, you would have said it when it actually affected the person you wronged. Twice, this has happened to me in the last two days, by some inexplicable anomoly. I just don't know what else to say..."
As Nick (I think) said, if they had apologised X amount of time ago when it affected us, when it meant something, when it could have made things better, that would have been fine. Apologising now changes nothing. I still had to move school and our community has still 'imploded'. No apology alone is going to make that any better.
At this stage, the only person the apology means anything to is the person doing the apology. They say sorry because they want to feel better about themselves. It's an incredibly selfish thing to do. And it doesn't matter whether or not we accept the apology. They've already said it, now they can sleep at night, and where the fuck are we? Same place we were a minute ago.
So yeah, Dan, Féadra, I hope you feel like really awesome, caring people after your meaningless apologies.
Sidenote: I'm not saying that Dan shouldnt've said he wasn't coming back, that was something we needed, that part was a good thing. It's just the apologising part I'm talking about now.
