So a good friend and a brother of mine got me thinking about something that could very easily become a reality within our lifetimes.
What would you do if you woke up to find that your home had been taken and there was nothing you could do about it, and your currency was worth nothing?
Not a fun thought, but srsly....

Well, it's a rough decision, and it all depends on the options. If being on the EU without the rest of it having collapsed (...yet), then immigration could be a possible alternative, in preference to a country with a different currency then yours (if coming from a country using the Euro, going to Britain could be an alternative, at least while it doesn't sink too). If outside the EU, I'd still consider immigration, at least try to figure out some sort of loophole (are my parents, grandparents immigrants? If so, from where?). If immigration was impossible (it would also only be a measurement to delay the inevitable), then I'd try and get help from family, or gather resources with other people in the same situation, so at least we had some conditions all together than no conditions each one alone. The next day, THE BIGGEST PROTEST EVER would happen in the capital's city hall.

I think I would start an agricultural commune. You can't do much without food!

I think we should meet up, go to the local supermarket and fill a few planes with supplies that we stole and fly up to our own SPOTM island.

Id say we all take a couple of tips from minecraft. Sure we all cant just go around punching trees, but the same principals would apply is we were stuck on a desert island. And if you live in an urban environment its simple enough to just leave to where a forest is, isnt it?
