I see what you mean, i have to say i can't really talk about religion because i never really was an active member of any church. i don't know what it's like to really believe in for example the god that the bible tells us about. so for me the difference between science and religion is that you can always be shure about science, because it's always renewing itself. there are always new discoveries and so if one is mabey wrong it will soon be disproved. and in my opinion you can't say the same thing about religion. but please prove me wrong! ;D

I'm actually not a believer myself, so I can't talk about how it feels, but I love to hear about it and think about it And I think it's true that science is re-inventing itself more, which is a good think imo, but that doesn't mean that religion isn't something which we shouldn't think or debate about imo

for me religion is a thing a thing of culture and tradition. i mean everything says the same basically they just say it differently. but that leads a bit away from the actual topic ^^ i guess everyone agrees that religions and value 7 can easily co-exist, so do we really have to discuss this any more?
btw what does imo mean? xD *feeling like a n00b*

ahh, ok, what a relief! ^^
then maybe we can discuss something slightly different, shall we? i think religion and faith don't equal, imo (uh, already using it lol) religion is something made up by people to express their faith but also i think religions aren't really useful anymore (while faith still is!) because of these reasons: 1. They are too likely to be misused to intensions like power 2. They all basically say the same, they just say it differently, especially the 3 big monotheistic ones, christianity, islam and judaism, so why fight about the differences instead of connecting them all? there's always a god, a power or a thing, that started everything and there is always some place like heaven or nirvana. and the rules are mostly the same too, you shouldn't kill/steal/cheat etc. you know, the ten commandments e.g.
btw i don't want to question anyone's religion here, i obey to value 8 so if you can, prove me wrong!

you're mostly right felix (at least about christianity, the others i wouldn't know). but one thing thats different (again, as far as I know) about christianity is that for God to accept us, we have to tell him that we believe that jesus died on the cross to take the blame for our sins. from what i have learned in social studies, other similar religions don't have that aspect, and that is basically the most important belief in christianity. just FYI
