lolz, wow. All the same, I wouldn't kill him simply because it is not right to take a human life. If you had the opportunity to change the course of history by doing something to baby Hitler, there are more ways you could go about it besides just murdering him.

I mean, you could just lock him in a room for a couple of years and then when you think it' safe you could let him out again. But the question is pretty theoratical itself so why make it more complicated. But if i think about it, if it wasn't for WW2, germany probably wouldn't have developed the way it did. This question is way too complex actually! If you killed baby hitler, who knows, maybe something even worse would have happened.

Yeah, that goes back to the whole "everything happens for a reason" idea that many people (including me) believe.

you could give hitler brain damage or disable him. punt him or something like that, could work. or you could no create a butterfly affect.

Yeah, that goes back to the whole "everything happens for a reason" idea that many people (including me) believe. that's actually not what i meant, i don't think that the time nazi-regime was the best/only possibility for history, i just think there is the possibility that it wasn't the worst.

it's good to have an opinion, it helps you getting laid.

why kill hitler anyways? I'd kill stalin. Stalin killed aprox 60 million people while hitler killed a measly (in comparison) 17 million in the holocaust. Stalin starved people to death, while hitler poured gasoline on them and burned them. I'd rather have a quick and bloody death than a long dreary and bloodless death.

I think we should be sure our focus is weighted towards "use our awesomeness for good" and not "avoid using our awesomeness for bad".I'd like to quote Dan's video on the "Use Our Awesomeness For Good" Pogo Tribe value, as I agree with him, and I think he said it well: Click here for the full video.

Andy, those are certainly very good points. Perhaps we should avoid discussing these things now, and if something comes along that could realistically be controversial as to whether it is good or bad, we will decide upon whether or not it is "worthy of our awesomeness," as Dan stated so eloquently.

If you could go back in time and kill baby Hitler, would you do it? And if you would, would that not be an evil thing, to kill an (at that point) innocent baby? I'm gonna get yelled at for saying this, but no I wouldn't. Mistakes in the past lead to less mistakes in the future. Yes, I know the Holocaust was horrible beyond belief. However, if Hitler hadn't done it, somebody else would have (not necessarily with Jews, of course, but the concept of genocide itself).

Yeah, this thread did get rather off topic. The original discussion, after all, was concerning what things are awesome to the tribe.

I know we did, I just felt the need to say that. There's nothing wrong with going off topic, as long as the discussion is intellectual and productive.

Ah, okay. Thank you for enlightening me on the meaning of spam. ;D I've seen admins tell people to stop spamming before, and it seemed to me that anything off topic was considered spam. But I get it now. Hopefully.

Well if we say stop spamming, then we're probably talking about the people that are like "HOLY SHIRT COOKIES LOLOL" and stuff.
There's a difference between spam and unrelated, but not idiotic, discussion. ;P
